15strangers | WEEK 3

WEEK 3

[Once everyone has gotten out of the elevator, those who go to look for Akira and Kurama will find that they have been put into one of their rooms, together, safely tucked into bed with a glass of milk for each of them. And - aside from the bruises of being suctioned into a death cylinder and tranquilized with some very strong drugs - they are alive and unharmed.

Naturally, this means that Akira and Kurama are the first to experience the dreams, but everyone will experience them, once they finally fall asleep, for good and ill.

Despite everything, too, the survivors will find many other new things facing them as they wake up. A new evolution for their powers, a new wing...and a new rule, updated after the execution. The profiles have also been updated, to reflect the Titled's ever-dwindling numbers.

This is going to be a long week, that's for sure.

[Room 4 has a baseball bat in it, for some reason, as well as what looks like a code page.

[ Croix will scan the card, if it needs it. If not, well, what're we looking at? ]

[ Ursula glances at it. Also, let's look at that bat. What's that about? ]

I think... wait. Croix, what does the R14 stand for?

I thought it initially was a room number, but seeing it here, too...

[ ...Oh boy. R14. Round 14. ]

...this can't possibly have happened more than a couple times, can it? ...have?

... This game... what if it happened fourteen other times? What if it's something that happens all the time?

I used the ouija board-like device the other day, and one of the dead spoke to me. It wasn't Dio, or any of the others, I don't think. What if... it was one of these people? Victor, or this person... what if they're all dead, and here too?

This card says this specific person is alive, but that doesn't mean it can't be Victor. But this... If it's been done fourteen times...

[ ...How many ghosts are around them? Croix is. Going to instead check out the code thing. Might as well get on with this??? ]

[It looks like some kind of arrow code. Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, 2, 1.]

So...we're not just in a murder mall, we're in a haunted murder mall. I think my spookometer maxed out when I played the Ouija game or I'd probably just curl up in a ball now...

[The code, at least, is a welcome distraction.]

Yeah, if I had to guess, it unlocks a door in another part of this place. That kind of thing happens all the time in video games or home security systems.

[She looks at the bat. Any obvious traps or reasons not to pick it up?]

[Nope! It looks like it could be handy, though, in any future puzzles that come up.

Keyboard... wait. Arrows! What about the dancing games? Is there one of those in here?

Maybe it's directions to the maze. That'd explain the "1 2" instead of "A B"...

[Do those arrows make any sense as directions if she re-enters the main room from this one? As in, following the steps forward and back won't get her horribly maimed.]

[ Probably best that the smallest of them gets through. ]

[ First of all, any other rooms they can access, or will they be doubling back? ]
