[They are the brand Ren uses. It's opened, with a few of the cigarettes already used.

However, there is also a smell coming from some of the remaining cigarettes as well.]

[So what sort of smell is coming from them? Bitter maybe?]

The other cigarettes don't smell like anything other than normal cigarettes.]

[One looks halfway to mostly smoked, and has the bitter smell on it.

The other is new, barely lit and does not have the smell.]

[Now that is actually interesting. Why start a new one if the first one wasn't completely smoked yet? Anything else of note about the ashtray beyond that? Like is there a lot of ash and butts remaining or was it more recently emptied?]

[It seems to have been recently emptied, but the ash from the smoked cigarette remains.]

[So is the ash bitter smelling too, or was that burned away?]

[It actually smells a little stronger in the ash.
