THE THIRD TRIAL

[It happens again, like clockwork. Once the final clues have happened, the elevator in the food court opens with a DING. It doesn't leave until everyone has gotten on, and the thought occurs to everyone that they shouldn't waste time.

An innocent man was ruthlessly murdered, after all. After everything that's happened.

Just as before, everyone who is still alive will find their favorite food and drink at their platform. And just as before, Akechi, Helena and Ren's platforms have now been lowered and covered with a white cloth, joining the increasing number of dead spaces in the trial area. Helena's platform, however, has an addition not present on any other deceased's platform: a single white lily, placed almost reverently on top.

Well. Whatever reason that lily is there, it shouldn't detract from the fact that there is a trial to be had here, once more. Its time to look at the evidence at hand, and to hopefully find whoever did this heinous crime.

So, it's time, Titled.

...Normally, when a murder is committed, Kana contacts me. I'm not really told to do anything specific. But Thursday... Someone else contacted me. They indicated they're above Kana.

... Is it the same person who writes the motives? Coco's boss, maybe?

I guess they might have decided Coco was expendable when she couldn't stop Helena...or if she's running out of energy. Set her up as a decoy so we all die.

I'd believe that. So if it wasn't Coco, that only leaves... someone else in this room.

There's still a possibility Ren decided to...sacrifice himself. It's a crappy thing to do when you have a daughter to go back to, but I could totally see him being that kind of stupid for other peoples' sakes.

True... he really did care a lot about other people, but we'll still need to consider the other option.

[ A firm nod. ]

How about we take it from the top, again, with this new information in mind?
