FINAL INVESTIGATION
[Its apparent when everyone wakes up that something isn't entirely right: Loewe's profile is gone.
It becomes incredibly apparent why, when people search: the bookshelf in Cafe MYJL has been destroyed, revealing the elevator behind it. Unlike the bookshelf itself, the elevator is not rigged with any kind of scanner; the Titled can get on the elevator without any problem. And, it goes down to the basement.
But. A thought occurs to everyone before they step on the elevator. They don't want to go down unprepared. Once they get on that elevator, they may not be allowed to come back up until they have finished what they started. If they are able to come back up at all.
So. Bring your supplies, your weapons, your notes on all of the information you've thus far gathered, your pets
And one you are prepared, you will find yourselves...going...

[There is a smell of burnt wire permeating the air around the elevator, and as everyone gets closer to the set of double doors at the end of the hall, the smell of bleach. A giant sword is stuck into the floor next to the double doors, with a very hastily-scrawled, blood-speckled note pinned by the sword: BOSS IS THIS WAY. -L
Loewe clearly knew he wasn't getting beyond the double doors alive - and, at the least, he had a sense of humor about it. In any case, at the moment, there is no real means of opening it from the outside anyways. Not yet, at least.
In the meantime, though, the entire basement is now ready to be explored. Some of the doors - Rooms 1, 2, and 6 - are locked with special locks that will need to be figured out, but otherwise?
Welcome to The Hall of Liberation.
And good luck, teams.]

Wait, this whole thing has been a training exercise? And we came here willingly? Did I--did I get this right?

Honestly, this sounds like the kind of adventure I could get really into if it didn't involve making people murder each other...

[Who is she talking to?]
[Whatever let's just open the email.]

[ Well, while Joey's doing that, after reading the email, Chariot gets an idea. She's going to focus and scan the room. Anything? ]

For starters, the building is mostly stone, and the roof is painted a light shade of green - it has a feel like a temple, with eye-shaped spires atop its beautiful architecture, but it all seems relatively new for one. It's a moonlit night, and the memory holder is staring down to what seems to be a garden full of flowers - but it's more likely that the first thing Chariot actually notices is what's above the garden. In fact, eerie symbols are floating in midair, looking so garishly out of place that they don't even seem like they should belong to this world. They appear to be pouring out of the building, through doors and walls alike. They don't look like real creatures, but even so, Chariot can make out in each one a variety of things like tusks or horns, shark-like rows of teeth or a devilish grin - others look like the symbol on the app that was added to her phone.
They are also unmistakably alive ... as the memory holder looks to the other side of the building where a small group of people clothed in black robes are milling about, each one is swarmed with the things like so many parasites. However, they do not react to them at all, not even so much as to look at them. The person in the memory lifts their hand to their chest, their palm lightly coming into contact with the metal cross hanging over it. A male voice finally comes out of his mouth in a mutter.]
It's like it's a hive for them now... damn it, aren't you doing anything? Aren't I?
[He now looks next to him, where a figure is perhaps standing beside him - it's hard to make out, when that person is so bright as to seem like their entire body is swirling energy. Even so, Chariot can see the vague outlines of a face, and its mouth is pursed with an emotion that might be guilt or helplessness.]
I promise I'm trying. You know I never wished for anyone to suffer. The noise get erased, and more get attracted to this place and multiply. It's not the only place like this. Ever since I ascended... I'm finding so many. They go on to attack innocent people. I'm not ignoring that, but Luciel, the version of you from this reality has no idea. I'm worried about what he would do if he did. He deserves to live his life.
[The memory holder tenses from an ache in his heart so strong that even Chariot can feel it.]
I wouldn't think so. [He lets that hang in the air for a moment.] ...So many of me only clinging to a fake hope. It's nothing I deserve at all. No matter how much I just want-
[He pauses with a long "Uhhhhhh", and a sigh passes through his lips and he takes his hand off his necklace to look at it, fidget his fingers like he's typing on midair. It seems he can't fully disagree even so, or he doesn't want to. Below, the robed figures raise their voices. It's hard to make out everything, but they seem to be crying for help and salvation as they gather together. Not to the memory holder on the roof though. It definitely looks religious. Meanwhile, that ache is getting stronger. He stops fidgeting now, lowers his hand to his side as it tightens into a ball.]
You're jacked in to nearly every version of this UG.... I have no choice but to trust you again while we track down the bigger threat. Please, I'm begging you.
[But before he can say what, the memory abruptly comes to a stop as if Chariot was suddenly jolted out of it.
Chariot can no longer scan this person.]

... What... was that? Those monsters... she doesn't like the look of them. Not one bit. ]
Joey... Britt? I need to tell you something.

[He's prepared. Whatever you got to say can't be horribly bad, can it?]

... Essentially, it seemed like someone named Luciel was talking to this bright glowing person. They mentioned being "ascended". There were also a plethora of strange looking monsters that looked an awful lot like the smoke creatures that killed Dio... they looked kind of tattoo-like. They were all so strange.
I... I don't know what to make of it. I think I read someone's memory, and then they found out and kicked me out of their mind.

...were they in this room on another "level"?

[ She's not sure. ]
