[Well, this is...happening. This is a thing. This is your life now. The Commander is expecting you to just up and kill one another, and then try to get away with it. No big deal, right? You guys can handle this. You won't fall for what she has. She's clearly an idiot. A loud idiot, but still an idiot. She's not going to get one over you.

...Right?

In any case, the Commander's quarters are now open for anyone who decides they can actually stand to be in the same room as her, but beware - any favor you might ask of her is going to come at a price, and who knows what she'll ask you to do if you decide to gain a boon from her. Unless you're a suck-up like Baku - then she'll apparently be flattered. Maybe that's a good tactic to use?


Whatever you do, try not to murder the bread again. The Bread Did Nothing Wrong.

[ he nods, and takes...three of the space food packets. he takes out his sword and quickly, effortlessly uses them to slice open the tops of the packets. ]

Thank you! My, you seem quite skilled with that sword. I imagine you must not be too worried about that rule saying to kill someone then?

[ he narrows his eyes just the slightest bit. it's barely noticeable, but if vita's paying close attention, she'll be able to catch it. ]

I'm confident in my ability to defend myself, yes, but I'm not going to act unnecessarily.

[She does catch it because she's trying to gauge people's reactions to that rule.]

I envy you because I certainly cannot even defend myself if someone were to decide they want to hurt me. Being here with a rule like that is so scary.

The library may have some books on learning self-defense, if you're worried.

You can learn that from a book? I thought one had to study under someone else under one of those schools of swordsmanship or something. Or be trained as a soldier.
