[Well, this is...happening. This is a thing. This is your life now. The Commander is expecting you to just up and kill one another, and then try to get away with it. No big deal, right? You guys can handle this. You won't fall for what she has. She's clearly an idiot. A loud idiot, but still an idiot. She's not going to get one over you.

...Right?

In any case, the Commander's quarters are now open for anyone who decides they can actually stand to be in the same room as her, but beware - any favor you might ask of her is going to come at a price, and who knows what she'll ask you to do if you decide to gain a boon from her. Unless you're a suck-up like Baku - then she'll apparently be flattered. Maybe that's a good tactic to use?


Whatever you do, try not to murder the bread again. The Bread Did Nothing Wrong.

[Whoops, he broke the kid. Well, what he's saying doesn't make much sense to him, but it wouldn't do to appear antagonistic at this meeting, so he's just going to stare him down for a moment and then step back to give him some space.]

Why don't you have some tea. It may ease your nerves.

[ He will probably take some tea, though. Rosenkreuz is right--he really needs to calm down. He's not in the School right now. ]

You're not the first person to express that I'm not exactly what most would "want" in a higher power.

Hm. It is a matter of belief. What I want has little to do with it.

[But pardon him for believing that the higher power should actually have... power.]

[ BUT HE DOES HAVE POWER. They just stole it! That's... kind of the problem. ]

... No, it's not. It's a matter of power. Well... certainly, belief is important, but I wouldn't cease to exist simply because people stopped believing in me. But my power has been stolen from me. I just don't know how they did it...

[He was responding to "what most would want", so he doesn't see how that much is wrong?! He just doesn't believe you're God dude.... but whatever. He'll just get that tea now.]

I suppose that makes them an even higher power than you. [He doesn't manage to sound fully unsarcastic with those last two words but he's trying, plunking the cup down in front of him.] You shall have to come to terms with that in your own way.

I never asked to be that important in the first place. Anyone else would make a much better protagonist.

[ It's said bitterly--he knows he's not suited to the role. Not really. He tries his best, but... he can only do what he can do. ]

... It's the truth. Is there a point in being deceitful?

Perhaps. Were I a God and did not wish to be bothered over it, I would see it more as... omitting an unnecessary detail.

The idea of lying never occurred to me, when I was in the House or back here.
