[Well, this is...happening. This is a thing. This is your life now. The Commander is expecting you to just up and kill one another, and then try to get away with it. No big deal, right? You guys can handle this. You won't fall for what she has. She's clearly an idiot. A loud idiot, but still an idiot. She's not going to get one over you.

...Right?

In any case, the Commander's quarters are now open for anyone who decides they can actually stand to be in the same room as her, but beware - any favor you might ask of her is going to come at a price, and who knows what she'll ask you to do if you decide to gain a boon from her. Unless you're a suck-up like Baku - then she'll apparently be flattered. Maybe that's a good tactic to use?


Whatever you do, try not to murder the bread again. The Bread Did Nothing Wrong.

I don't believe so, no.

[ this ice boy is not good at introductions, but he can at least offer his name: ] Hitsugaya. Our circumstances certainly could have been more favorable.

[ ... ] Are there any signs that your previous game and this one are related, somehow, other than sharing the same structure?

[beguiledcard]

[ It's okay, Hitsugaya, you're still incredibly cute?

He shrugs a bit. ]

All we can do is make the best of it.

[ That's a good question; it would be a good idea to properly list all the similarities, right? He lifts a finger with each item: ]

There are at least two people here who are connected to people I knew, back in the mall. Then, we have the rules - they're worded differently, but the general setup is the same. There are the Titles and the powers that go with them.

No showers for the first week, which I only know because showers were suddenly a big deal in the second week of the mall. [ memory issues, man ] There are fifteen of us with only one person keeping an eye on us... although...

[ Just like that, Akira's expression shifts. He clearly just realized something that's apparently... unsettling. ]

[toushiro]

[ toushiro listens carefully. the whole no showers thing is...odd, to him, but the setup and the titles being the same doesn't surprise him.

but then akira's expression shifts, and toushiro raises an eyebrow. that makes him extremely curious, and he folds his arms across his chest. ]

You look like you've realized something.

[beguiledcard]

[ He blinks out of thought at that, his expression softening as he shakes his head a bit. Not in a dismissive way, but in a way indicative of clearing out bad or confusing thoughts. Which is exactly what he's trying to do. ]

Just so we're clear, I'm not saying it's the case, here.

[ A wry smile of sorts is on his lips as he shrugs a shoulder. Because he's not saying it isn't the case. After all, there's no proof either way. ]

But, in the mall, one of us was being used against the others. I don't think anything bad ever happened to them... but... I can't remember who it turned out being...

[toushiro]

You're saying that there could be a traitor among us, then?

[beguiledcard]

[ He looks tense for a moment, his brow knitting in the split second he just quietly looks at Hitsugaya. Then, it all smooths out as he releases a quiet sigh and nods. There's no getting around it; that's what they're at the risk of. ]

Yeah. That's exactly what I'm saying.

[toushiro]

[ somehow, that doesn't seem to faze him the same way it does to akira. hitsugaya's honestly not surprised that they'd resort to this kind of thing: plant a mole in the group to report any information about potential threats, an uprising... power games, really. ]

That doesn't surprise me. It would make sense to have someone from the inside report information back to them in order for them to change their tactics.

[beguiledcard]

[ He frowns. ]

As unsurprising as it is, that means... if someone does give in...

[ So much frustration is slipping through the cracks. ]

... Well, it means what I'm sure you're expecting.

[toushiro]

I do.

[ he nods, still maintaining a sense of calm; it may or may not come across as surprising considering how...young he looks. ]

There's no point in denying the possibility.
