[Well, this is...happening. This is a thing. This is your life now. The Commander is expecting you to just up and kill one another, and then try to get away with it. No big deal, right? You guys can handle this. You won't fall for what she has. She's clearly an idiot. A loud idiot, but still an idiot. She's not going to get one over you.

...Right?

In any case, the Commander's quarters are now open for anyone who decides they can actually stand to be in the same room as her, but beware - any favor you might ask of her is going to come at a price, and who knows what she'll ask you to do if you decide to gain a boon from her. Unless you're a suck-up like Baku - then she'll apparently be flattered. Maybe that's a good tactic to use?


Whatever you do, try not to murder the bread again. The Bread Did Nothing Wrong.

I just can't shake it off as easy as I could if... I can't remember my best friend's name. And she's the one they'd go after, if they were going to hurt somebody important to me. I couldn't sleep because I just kept thinking about that.

[He flashes a very slight, very tired smile, then.]

She'd have stormed upstairs and wrung an answer out of our charming hostess by now, and all I can do is worry, and ask "why us" and "why me". Normally I'd be fine climbing out of this on my own, but being stuck like this, not having a clear way forward....

[ He nods, his expression dimming even as the image of someone storming the lady upstairs is given. He can definitely appreciate people like that. ]

Right now, the best thing we can do is continue looking around for clues. There's always something you can do - the real challenge with that part, is figuring out what's relevant and what's not.

[ And he takes a quiet, deep breath. ]

There hasn't been a motive. We'll probably... wake up tomorrow with everyone still alive. On Sunday, we should have another meeting to prepare. Between now and then, I say we all keep looking around as much as possible, and then discuss whatever we find.

["Keep looking around as much as possible" - and then one of those creepy quiet robots happens to catch his eye. The beginning of a very, very stupid idea takes root in the back of Jonathan's mind.

It's stupid enough and risky enough that he's starting to feel like himself again, for the first time in almost a week. He smiles, and lets it fall into a grin.]

No problem. I might actually have something to share by Sunday.

[ The grin has his eyebrows lifted. He's both curious over it and relieved to see it. A small voice in the back of his mind says he should probably be concerned, but... eh. What's the... worst... that could.
