[Well, this is...happening. This is a thing. This is your life now. The Commander is expecting you to just up and kill one another, and then try to get away with it. No big deal, right? You guys can handle this. You won't fall for what she has. She's clearly an idiot. A loud idiot, but still an idiot. She's not going to get one over you.

...Right?

In any case, the Commander's quarters are now open for anyone who decides they can actually stand to be in the same room as her, but beware - any favor you might ask of her is going to come at a price, and who knows what she'll ask you to do if you decide to gain a boon from her. Unless you're a suck-up like Baku - then she'll apparently be flattered. Maybe that's a good tactic to use?


Whatever you do, try not to murder the bread again. The Bread Did Nothing Wrong.

[Mostly more tapes. Soon enough Barbara will end up where the screen is.

There's a small button beneath the screen itself.

Press it?]

[Curious. Why not.

Barbara presses the button.]

[The screen starts to slowly move upwards with a whirring sound, and into the ceiling.

Hopefully you and Akira aren't startled by it??]

[Don't worry this girl is like the Queen of Not Screaming. She just gasps at this sight.

Question is, was there anything behind the screen?]

[strangerpeople]

[If by 'anything' you mean the hundred or so dart-maimed and ripped photos on the wall behind the that were hidden behind the screen, then yes. There are things. Lots of things.

Uh. Someone had a lot of time on their hands.]

Akira, are you seeing this?

[She's gonna try matching up these shreds of paper with one of these photos. Any matches?]

[Oh yeah. Whoever it is, it looks like it belongs to the guy's hair. And yes, despite how horribly mangled most of the photos are, it's clearly a male.]

[Okay, so it's all one guy? All the photos are of the same person?]

[strangerpeople]

[Yes.]

[Okay, so it's a guy with dark brown hair that the Commander hates.

She likes him already.

Anything else she can tell from these photos?]

[strangerpeople]

[Not much, except he has dark eyes as well. Maybe a white t-shirt, but otherwise, the photos are just too damaged to make much else out.]

[She's not exactly surprised that the Commander would do something this childish and cliché, but it is weird that she'd do this in here instead of her room.

Anything else to find or...is it time to search through the tapes?]

[ FROM OVER WHERE HE'D WANDERED OFF TO, HE'S STILL STARING A BIT OVER SUDDENLY SCREEN WHEN SHE SAYS HIS NAME. ]

I thought you said you were new at this.

[ His tone is very clearly teasing, of course. ]

[ With a smile, he nods and skims the room! He didn't see anything in the area he'd wound up in, so... is there anything eye-catching? ]

[Well, one of the cushions on one of the couches seems to be put in backwards for some reason.

Care to check it out?]

[ Yep.

That's enough to have him walking over to tug it free, with the initial intention of righting it! ]

[A broken VHS tape pops up from beneath the mattress at this.]

[ Welp, looks like somebody wasn't happy with their movie selection.

He'll set the cushion down to pick the tape up and look at it more closely. What have we got here? ]

[strangerpeople]

[A VHS tape with the title sticker scribbled out with an almost vicious amount of black marker. Also, parts of the flap are completely broken off - probably from being sat on - and it looks like someone might have even used something like scissors or pliers to rip part of the film reel itself out.

Someone really wasn't happy with the movie selection.]

And I thought you were more experienced with it.

[Teasing as well, because why not.]

[ Snorting softly. ]

In all fairness, I'm more thief than detective.

[A bit of disbelief there, cause you don't exactly act like a thief, dude.]

[ The best thieves don't make it obvious that they're thieves, by day. That's how you'd get caught! Which... doesn't even matter at this point, hence him being very nonchalant over it all. ]
