THE FIRST INVESTIGATION

[As Friday morning dawns, everything is quiet. Serene, even. It's been almost two weeks since the beginning of their stay here, and the time to fulfill the Commander's ultimatum offer is almost up. It seems that no one's taken her up on the offer, so far.

Maybe the lack of murder will continue, as everyone starts to go about their day....but there's only one way to find out.

[Angela reaches for some tissues to wipe away her mascara stains but then she realizes she doesn't even have any mascara stains because she hasn't been wearing mascara for days because she's just been stuck here with practically no resources for her only marketable skill except, what, bedsheets? And what did that do for Vita? Basically nothing; look, she's fucking dead!!! Any solace comes at the whims of the regain machine! Maybe it's controlled by that firebrand Marie but maybe it's even more mysterious and arbitrary and hateful!

Angela just weeps with loud frog noises for a while before at least taking some breaths.] At least... at least some of us are still here...
