THE SECOND TRIAL

THE SECOND TRIAL

[Soon after the failed attempt to contact the dead, the tell-tale alarm suddenly rings out, rattling everyone's teeth alongside Marie's voice.]

ATTENTION! EMERGENCY ALERT! PLEASE GO TO THE ELEVATORS IMMEDIATELY!! HMHMHMMM! I WILL NEVER GET TIRED OF SAYING THAT...!

[And so, once again, the elevators bring everyone back down to the trial room, where the table has been...altered, slightly, color-wise, to reflect those who are no longer among you. And once more, upon entering the force field, weapons disappear - and powers fail to work.

Bottson hops up onto the center of the table, transmitting the evidence found.]

[Above everyone once more is Marie, floating around in her hover platform.]

WELL, WELL! FANCY MEETING YOU ALL HERE AGAIN! I GUESS YOU ALL FAILED TO KEEP THAT GUY ALIVE, HUH?? AHAHAHA!!

WELL, LET'S SEE IF YOU CAN GET WHO DID IT THIS TIME, HMM??

I find it unlikely he was kicked from the floor over, it would've left a different kind of impact, would have shown some scraping or some signs of something, so it's highly probable our killer is incredibly flexible, or just tall enough to reach his face.

Mister Rosenkreuz was very tall.

Then I'm a poor suspect in this case.

[ He's even going to step back and demonstrate. And nearly fall over from trying to stretch more than he can--he definitely couldn't have reached Rosie's face. ]

It may have nothing to do with height, if he was in the onsen and the killer was on the edge.

Then a kick wouldn't have even been needed. The shock alone would paralyze, with the way things were set up, wouldn't it?

He's right. The kick was somewhat excessive. A simple shove would have done.

Perhaps. It depends on whether the killer was fighting with the victim before the shock. The killer might have moved the knives.

I mean more once Rosenkreuz was in the onsen, he'd likely not be getting out. If the current was live to start with, the electrical current would, if I recall what I've learned, cause his muscles to essentially lock up. A kick wouldn't really do anything at that point. And there's no reason I can see for him to be kicked unless it was to get him into the electrified water at this point.
crouching_sin: (what. the. fuck.)

It would. Hm. That's... strange, then.

I postulated exactly what he's saying, actually. I believe he was outside the water before that point and was then kicked into it.
