WEEK 1
[Awaken.
Fifteen strangers have been gathered to the Depths.
When the strangers awaken, they will feel nauseous in their stomachs. No doubt confused. Maybe a little sick, Perhaps, even terrified. And certainly, there is a good reason for it - they are not where they were before. If they had powers back where they came from, they seem to be all gone. And it appears that someone has left...guidelines for them. All of them addressed to a specific Title.
Their Title. Somehow, each person knows, upon seeing this, this is their Title, even if it seems to make no sense whatsoever. And its clear that whoever wrote these things knew it as well. Who was it?
Its uncertain. So far, there seems to be no one else save for them, and those who dare to venture out of their rooms - save, for some reason, the individuals in rooms 1, 8 and 7 - in this hot and stuffy place. No...'intercessor' to be seen yet, certainly. No outward signs that there's anyone else aside from the people with 'Titles'.
So, Titled: welcome.
There are fifteen strangers in this place.]

[Although she starts off strong-- her voice slowly gets softer and more uncertain. He... doesn't remember? It just happened... She'd seen so many crazy things. But this... if this was real, then this was the most cruel.
Still, maybe there's a way to remind him... she has to try at least.]
Futaba Sakura. You know... Sojiro's daughter? I helped you fight in my Palace!
[This is really frustrating. She wants to cry.]
Stupid Inari... Stupid kidnapper...
no subject
Even as Futaba fumes at his hesitation (really, he doesn't know her or her father), he grabs her wrists and pulls her back into the room he just vacated, only releasing her to close the door.]
You can't just speak openly of the Phantom Thieves like that, even if you do somehow know them. As for your Palace... I can tell you the only one I've been brought to is Sen-- Madarame's.
no subject
I know that! I... know... But first all these strangers and now you're acting all weird-- [Deep breath...] You really don't remember anything since Madarame's Palace?
[That's... no small chunk of memory. Because that would mean he doesn't know what the Phantom Thieves did to Kaneshiro either.]
Listen. Your code name is Fox-- and your teammates are Panther, Skull, Mona and Joker. And the person responsible for that has to be the one that kidnapped us. You've gotta believe me.
[Because she doesn't know what she'd do if he didn't.]
no subject
He licks dry lips, feeling the skeptical disbelief churning in his stomach begin to quiet. "I... I do believe you," he finally murmurs. "As strange as this is, I believe you."
And he means it. He's not just saying it for her sake. If she knows so much, he needs to trust her, and it's good to have an ally when the seeds of mistrust have already been sown among them by that letter.
no subject
"I guess until we figure out what's going on, I'll have to fill you in on some things."
She crosses her arms over her stomach. Where to begin...? She could start with Makoto, but that would probably be a little much. For now, it's probably best to keep it simple. Who knows-- maybe he'd get his memory back yet.
"...for starters, my name is Futaba Sakura. Try not to forget it this time, alright." She's joking this time-- mostly. "Uh... I'm like the group's Navigator and tech support. I was watching you guys for a while before that though. The guy who's looking after Joker is my legal guardian."
She drops her hands and shrugs.
"If you have any questions to ask me though, I'll try my best to answer them. Other than that, it's prooobably best you try and figure it out on your own."
no subject
So she's linked to Joker, in a sense. Strange how everyone else here seems to be strangers from different places, but he and Futaba come from the same reality, even the same locale and series of events. Is there a reason behind that?
"Could you tell me the last thing you remember before you woke up here? Did anything seem strange?"
no subject
What happened again? Futaba has to stop and think about it. This whole ordeal had her brain a little fuzzy. Not like it wasn't already after everything that happened in her Palace.
"Oh yeah. There were some posers trying to masquerade around as Medjed, causing some trouble for the Phantom Thieves... so I took them out. It was a piece of cake."
At least it sounds that way, the way she tells it.
"...what about you? Where does your memory just stop?"
no subject
"I had just awakened to my Persona and fled Madarame's Palace with the Phantom Thieves. Though I'd intended to ask them to officially take me on as one of their own, I think... something strange must've occurred in the distortion as we left that other world. I believe that is when I blacked out, and when I regained consciousness, I was here."
no subject
Holy cow, this was way worse than she thought. Forgetting something that important to him... Whatever happened, this was big. Okay. Alright. They can handle this. They just have to... Okay, she just has to think a little bit. What could have happened between then and now that would mess up his memory that bad?
After a moment of thought the only thing she comes up with is some kind of shock or trauma.
"Maybe... you hit your head when they kidnapped you?"
It was possible he'd tried to get away or... something. Maybe he'd gotten hurt somehow in the process. It's very much a guess and sounds like it when she says it, but it's not illogical.
no subject
But if it wasn't a physical injury, that again leads him to wonder if the effect is due to something psychic. He would've thought it impossible once, but after awakening his Persona he's starting to believe in some very fantastic things.
Wait. His Persona.
"Futaba, you said you've become part of the Phantom Thieves, which means you have a Persona. Can you summon it now? Can you even sense it?"
no subject
...right. Her Persona...
"Nope. I haven't been able to sense Necronomicon since I woke up here. And they took my phone, so I can't check the app either."
no subject
"My phone is missing as well. I also attempted to summon Goemon before I emerged from my room, to no avail. Either we aren't in the Metaverse or something has been done to seal our Personas." Yusuke frowns. "Both possibilities are equally alarming in their own ways."
no subject
Besides-- she felt naked without her phone or her laptop. If she had just one of them, she'd be feeling a lot less helpless right now. But then, it would also be near impossible to get her head out of it either.
"If I could just get connected to a network somewhere, I could try to send out an encrypted message to the others and try to track our current location." Without it though, she doesn't even know where to start. Heck... until just now, she hadn't even managed to venture beyond her own door. It's like the world is testing her.
Well she's not giving up. Not anymore. She has to live. She has to avenge her mother. That's what's keeping her going. That and and the presence of her fellow Phantom Thief ally.
no subject
Futaba is so tiny and unsure of things, Yusuke can't help feeling sorry for her even if he doesn't remember her. She shouldn't be forced into a situation like this-- none of them should-- and Yusuke knows he'll do anything he can to protect her.
His hand settles on the crown of her head, feeling the thick, soft weight of her hair against his skin. Somehow he manages a faint smile for her. "I won't let anything happen to you, I promise. We're going to get out of here, the others need us."
