WEEK 1

[Awaken.

Fifteen strangers have been gathered to the Depths.

When the strangers awaken, they will feel nauseous in their stomachs. No doubt confused. Maybe a little sick, Perhaps, even terrified. And certainly, there is a good reason for it - they are not where they were before. If they had powers back where they came from, they seem to be all gone. And it appears that someone has left...guidelines for them. All of them addressed to a specific Title.

Their Title. Somehow, each person knows, upon seeing this, this is their Title, even if it seems to make no sense whatsoever. And its clear that whoever wrote these things knew it as well. Who was it?

Its uncertain. So far, there seems to be no one else save for them, and those who dare to venture out of their rooms - save, for some reason, the individuals in rooms 1, 8 and 7 - in this hot and stuffy place. No...'intercessor' to be seen yet, certainly. No outward signs that there's anyone else aside from the people with 'Titles'.

So, Titled: welcome.

[ Shaking his head, he glanced over to the 'maze' for a moment or two and then sighed. ]

I don't think anyone's going to fall for this maze, though.

THAT'S RIGHT! SURELY IF THEY SEE HOW TO PROPERLY DO THINGS WHEN IT COMES TO CAPTURING HUMANS, THEY'LL LET YOU GO AND THINK ON IT BEFORE THEY TRY AND CAPTURE YOU AGAIN!

[He looks at his handiwork.]

HMM...ARE YOU SUGGESTING I GIVE EVERYONE INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO DO THIS, HUMAN?

The ones who brought us here don't seem like they'll be so easily swayed by things like that.

[ Killua leveled him with a look before frowning and just... in disbelief that the other could still truly think this way. ]

I'm saying you should come up with more efficient traps.

WELL, THAT'S WHY I HAVE TO KEEP TRYING, RIGHT? I CAN TOTALLY COME UP WITH ALL SORTS OF PUZZLES! MY PUZZLING IS UNLIMITED! I'LL NEVER RUN OUT OF PUZZLE IDEAS TO PROVE IT!

Everyone's gonna get annoyed if you keep that up. Doing more puzzles isn't going to prove anything.

[ Papyrus please. Though he does give the skeleton in question a bit of a look that borders on curiosity. ]

So can you even get hurt though? I mean... how do you even harm a skeleton...?

BUT...PUZZLES ARE GREAT! THEY WORK FOR ALL SORTS OF THINGS!

Just curious! I've just never met a living skeleton before, so I don't know what exactly is letting you function just as someone who's human like me.

WELL, I...I'VE NEVER BEEN HURT, BUT I KNOW THAT WE CAN GET HURT! ESPECIALLY IF SOMEONE HAS HIGH ENOUGH LOVE! SOMEONE LIKE THAT COULD REALLY HURT A MONSTER!

...Someone with high enough love? So someone without that couldn't really hurt you?

[ He's just trying to understand what's going on regarding all this, honestly. ]

[Between you and the human lady, with you asking about if he can die...with the whole kill someone and leave thing, that makes him just a tad nervous...but...no, he can't be scared! No! He must not be....well, so obviously scared!

He can be secretly scared. Yeah. That works.]

I CAN, BUT I DON'T HAVE TO, RIGHT? NO ONE HAS TO! NO ONE NEEDS TO LEVEL UP THEIR LOVE HERE. MAYBE THE NOT SANS THAT BROUGHT US HERE WILL REALIZE THAT, RIGHT? I'M SURE ITS POSSIBLE!

[ Level Of ViolencE, huh? The higher your love, then the better you were at... probably killing if he had to guess. Something that had a sort of twisted irony where he was involved, creating nothing short of amusement for him.

Plus this one's mindset was... well. How could he describe it, exactly? ]

Not likely. That sort of thinking is naive and kind of childish, you know.

[ That's gotta say something when it comes from the mouth of a human child, doesn't it? ]

Even if you think that nobody should have to die or that nobody will kill anyone else? It doesn't mean that everyone else thinks that way. [ Shaking his head and exhaling a small sigh here. ] The rules in place are put in place for a reason and I doubt they're going to go back on any of them.

NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS!

...Well... you're determined, I'll give you that.

[ Seriously. This guy just took being called two negative things and just kept going like nothing had happened, pushing forwards with that sort of positive thinking. How simple-minded WAS he? ]

It wouldn't hurt to keep that kinda thinking but just be careful. People take advantage of that and I imagine there is someone like that here, without a doubt.

[ A sigh escaped him. Something about Papyrus reminded him of someone but he couldn't put a finger on just who, exactly. ]

Why do you talk like that anyway? Calling yourself 'the great' papyrus and all..

BUT DOING IT FOR EVERYONE IS WHAT I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, WOULD DO!

I, BEING THE GREAT PAPYRUS, CALL MY SELF THE GREAT PAPYRUS BECAUSE...WHY NOT? WHO WOULDN'T WANT TO BE WONDERFUL AND COOL AND AMAZING? TO HAVE LOTS OF FRIENDS AND BE THE ABSOLUTE BEST THEY CAN BE AND INSPIRE THE MASSES? WHO WOULDN'T WANT TO BE GREAT!

MAYBE ITS NOT POSSIBLE TO BE AS GREAT AS ME, HUMAN. AND FOR THAT, I'M SORRY! BUT I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, CAN HELP YOU ALL BECOME A VERY RESPECTABLE SECOND PLACE!

[ For a second he wants to call him stupid and too positive for his own good, but some part of him is almost jealous of the life Papyrus speaks of. Having lots of friends and inspiring others was something he never got the chance to do, immersed deep within blood that stained his hands crimson.

His expression grew quiet for a moment, only snapping out of it when the other spoke up once more, letting him mull over what'd been said before just nodding. ]

Sure. Start with calling me Killua, then. I don't want to just be called 'human' and I doubt the others will, either.

[ Considering how bored he is here, this sounds like the next best thing to being entertained after all. ]

RIGHT! KILLUA, THEN!!

So. With that in mind, you gonna teach me to be almost as great as you?
