WEEK 1

WEEK 1

[Awaken.

Fifteen strangers have been gathered to the Depths.

When the strangers awaken, they will feel nauseous in their stomachs. No doubt confused. Maybe a little sick, Perhaps, even terrified. And certainly, there is a good reason for it - they are not where they were before. If they had powers back where they came from, they seem to be all gone. And it appears that someone has left...guidelines for them. All of them addressed to a specific Title.

Their Title. Somehow, each person knows, upon seeing this, this is their Title, even if it seems to make no sense whatsoever. And its clear that whoever wrote these things knew it as well. Who was it?

Its uncertain. So far, there seems to be no one else save for them, and those who dare to venture out of their rooms - save, for some reason, the individuals in rooms 1, 8 and 7 - in this hot and stuffy place. No...'intercessor' to be seen yet, certainly. No outward signs that there's anyone else aside from the people with 'Titles'.

So, Titled: welcome.

There are fifteen strangers in this place.]

I have heard of something called the Multiverse Theory...but nobody's been able to prove the idea that there's anything but Real Space and Imaginary Space. Do you think that's it?

Nah, I'm just speaking of the teachings of the Septian Church. May not care for them much, but many of the things they teach about the world itself are based on fact and common enough knowledge no matter what part of Zemuria one travels to.

Septian? Zemuria? I've never heard of places or organizations like that. Not that I get to leave the Institute much, anyway...but I know my basics about the major members of the Galaxy Federation.

Never heard of any Galaxy Federation. I'm part of the Noble Alliance in Erebonia.

There was someone else here who'd never heard of interplanetary travel...it's starting to sound a lot like you're right about us being from different universes.

You can make that number two then. Don't know a thing about that, unless you have some weird name for traveling in the sky.

Space is above the sky, but I don't think that's what you mean.

It's also the element used in teleporation, some arts and anything involving realms or dimensions besides the one we live in.

Teleportation?

[Okay, that's curious. But there's a language issue to be cleared up here...]

That's the fabric of space. I mean the space between planets.

Yeah, don't do that sort of traveling. Not much point when there is still plenty to see even in Zemuria and even airships are still rather new.

Definitely nothing like where I'm from. I bet Dad would have all kinds of ideas about how this could've happened...

The most likely is some other dimension or realm. One with rules that are different from reality would explain how our abilities are blocked with the level of technology seeming to be even lower than before the Orbal Revolution, probably something more like the Dark Ages.

The Dark Ages sounds about right. Definitely way before Ether technology...unless they're just not giving us any real technology 'cause it'd make it easier for us to escape.
