[Awaken.

Fifteen strangers have been gathered to the Depths.

When the strangers awaken, they will feel nauseous in their stomachs. No doubt confused. Maybe a little sick, Perhaps, even terrified. And certainly, there is a good reason for it - they are not where they were before. If they had powers back where they came from, they seem to be all gone. And it appears that someone has left...guidelines for them. All of them addressed to a specific Title.

Their Title. Somehow, each person knows, upon seeing this, this is their Title, even if it seems to make no sense whatsoever. And its clear that whoever wrote these things knew it as well. Who was it?

Its uncertain. So far, there seems to be no one else save for them, and those who dare to venture out of their rooms - save, for some reason, the individuals in rooms 1, 8 and 7 - in this hot and stuffy place. No...'intercessor' to be seen yet, certainly. No outward signs that there's anyone else aside from the people with 'Titles'.


So, Titled: welcome.

Were you a prisoner even before they told you to stay here and watch us?

Were you a captured enemy?

[intercessing]

In their minds? Yes.

[Thanks, Rubedo. They sound outright annoyed at that.]

[He tilts his head again, but he's pretty sure he can figure out the scenario. It's not uncommon for one group to see another as a threat even though they don't actually mean any harm...]

I never liked fighting in conflicts like that. I'm not supposed to have opinions about the wars I fight in, but it doesn't feel right to be on the side attacking someone who didn't consider them an enemy before. But this time it's the aggressive side that's my enemy, so I think it's okay for me to say they're dumb.

[intercessing]

...Heh. I can't disagree with that.

[Now that he knows the Intercessor isn't actually sided with The Enemy, Rubedo seems to be more at ease. It's subtle, he isn't remotely relaxed, but it has more of an air of general formality than the wariness of before.]

But even if they're dumb, you said they gave you these books so you wouldn't be bored, right? Are they all things you like to read?
