[Awaken.

Fifteen strangers have been gathered to the Depths.

When the strangers awaken, they will feel nauseous in their stomachs. No doubt confused. Maybe a little sick, Perhaps, even terrified. And certainly, there is a good reason for it - they are not where they were before. If they had powers back where they came from, they seem to be all gone. And it appears that someone has left...guidelines for them. All of them addressed to a specific Title.

Their Title. Somehow, each person knows, upon seeing this, this is their Title, even if it seems to make no sense whatsoever. And its clear that whoever wrote these things knew it as well. Who was it?

Its uncertain. So far, there seems to be no one else save for them, and those who dare to venture out of their rooms - save, for some reason, the individuals in rooms 1, 8 and 7 - in this hot and stuffy place. No...'intercessor' to be seen yet, certainly. No outward signs that there's anyone else aside from the people with 'Titles'.


So, Titled: welcome.

So there's someone Yusuke hasn't met. That's... a very striking-looking man, his hair reminds Yusuke of the colors in some of Monet's art, or perhaps brighter versions of the hues common to the modern artist Kinkade....

Yes, he's openly staring at Mr. Lazy and Colorful.

"How lovely... tell me, how did you get it those colors?"

That sort of question actually throws McBurn off. He's a bit on edge trying to avoid anyone finding out about the blood in his room and thinking he attacked whatever intruder there was. Still, he's good enough to keep his tone even and bored sounding enough.

"Was born that way."

Yusuke's own hair is a sort of indigo-black, but clearly what's growing out of McBurn's scalp isn't like anything he's seen back home, at least not without careful application of some pretty bright dyes.

"Truly? The world you come from must be a wonderful sight if people born there look as you do."

No, he's really not flirting, just completely and absolutely caught up in aesthetic bliss. He doesn't even think, his lack of social skills getting the better of him as he steps closer and reaches out to touch one of McBurn's candy-colored locks.

It isn't as if McBurn would know what flirting was if it came up and slapped him in the face. Of course that doesn't mean he's going to be okay with some stranger getting too close to him. He's going to be stepping backwards.

"Uh, well it's not exactly normal there either. Comes from being an unnatural freak of nature."

It's probably a harsh way to think of himself, but it's not an untrue one. Being mixed is being a freak and he's got way more unnatural parts than most mixed do.

At least Yusuke doesn't press his luck by approaching when McBurn retreats. He drops his hand to his side, aware that he's made a bit of a faux pas. Social cues are so difficult.

The man's comment makes him raise an eyebrow, his mistake momentarily forgotten. "A freak of nature...? If I might ask, just what do you mean by that?"

It is good that Yusuke doesn't press his luck because while some may be fine with touching, McBurn is definitely not one of those people.

"I mean what I said. Parts of me are unnatural and one of those apparently causes two hair colors which is far from normal."

Ah, he's gone too far, hasn't he? Even in his brief time with the Phantom Thieves, he's heard comments about how he lacks proper boundaries. The comments sting, but they have a point. But at the same time, it's simply his nature to be curious.

"Forgive me, I didn't mean to cause you offense. I'm merely intrigued by you. You would make a fascinating subject for a painting."

McBurn shrugs in response. Honestly he doesn't seem offended. If anything his words were more like stating a simple fact, which they were. He's a rare non-human in a world of mostly humans. Of course he's an unnatural freak.

If anything, he seems more disturbed by the idea of someone painting him. He's a creature who no longer ages, such a thing could be a problem. He may not have lived beyond a human lifetime yet, but he definitely looks younger than he is.

"I'd have to decline."

"A shame. But... I've been told I can be 'creepy' if I become too demanding in regards to my art. I do not wish to cause any conflict while we're all trapped here." Yusuke sighs. "I do wish I had my painting supplies, though. These stone walls could use some inspiring color to brighten the gloomy atmosphere. It might keep our spirits up."

"Eh, whatever. I could just use a good fight. Not even any monsters to go kill and I'm getting bored."

Yeah, he's got issues and the gloomy atmosphere isn't one of them.

"With the way you speak, I'm curious to see what would happen if you were confronted by a large group of Shadows."

He gets the gut feeling it would be a massacre. The Shadows likely wouldn't stand a chance.

Only shadows McBurn knows about are the ones the other Enforcers summon with the Body-Split Craft and he can even kick the asses of Loewe's just fine.

"If I was back home with my powers, they'd all vanish in no time. Here, would take a bit longer but not an issue."
