WEEK 1

WEEK 1

[Awaken.

Fifteen strangers have been gathered to the Depths.

When the strangers awaken, they will feel nauseous in their stomachs. No doubt confused. Maybe a little sick, Perhaps, even terrified. And certainly, there is a good reason for it - they are not where they were before. If they had powers back where they came from, they seem to be all gone. And it appears that someone has left...guidelines for them. All of them addressed to a specific Title.

Their Title. Somehow, each person knows, upon seeing this, this is their Title, even if it seems to make no sense whatsoever. And its clear that whoever wrote these things knew it as well. Who was it?

Its uncertain. So far, there seems to be no one else save for them, and those who dare to venture out of their rooms - save, for some reason, the individuals in rooms 1, 8 and 7 - in this hot and stuffy place. No...'intercessor' to be seen yet, certainly. No outward signs that there's anyone else aside from the people with 'Titles'.

So, Titled: welcome.

There are fifteen strangers in this place.]

I took a look at the books in the Intercessor's study. I couldn't read most of them at first, but each time I blinked or looked away and back again, I could read more languages. I showed them to other people, too, and they couldn't read the languages until they saw the book, then they could read and write it perfectly.

[Wow, what a load of bull that he is totally going to check later because it actually sounds cool what the heck.]

...Anyway, we just need to figure out what's up with those shut-in guys, right?

We'd get in trouble if we broke the doors down...I wonder if we could find something to pick the locks with.
poorlovefool: (pleased)

[personal profile] poorlovefool 2017-05-21 06:07 am (UTC)(link)
Do you actually know how to pick a lock? They do have sewing needles.

[He's got one with him, in fact. It can't be that different from using a bobby pin, which he's pretty sure is what Nancy Drew uses.]

Nothing this old fashioned, but someone here might be able to.
zephyranthe: (Dunno what else to say.)

[personal profile] zephyranthe 2017-05-21 06:39 am (UTC)(link)
If we can't get them open, we can always barricade them too.

[If we're going the full paranoia route, anyways.]

[personal profile] poorlovefool 2017-05-21 06:49 am (UTC)(link)
Umm... should we?

[Eric pauses, chewing on his thumbnail for a moment.]

I-I mean, they could be the culprits here, and either way I don't like them sneaking around at night, but what if you become responsible for starving them to death? Or something...
zephyranthe: (Looks like something's there.)

[personal profile] zephyranthe 2017-05-21 07:00 am (UTC)(link)
You can last two months or so without food. And if they're that thirsty, they can drink out of the toilet.

[Survival skills 101 here!!]

'Sides, they'd probably make some noise if they're that desperate to get out. Least we'd know if there's someone there or not.
poorlovefool: (gurrrl)

[personal profile] poorlovefool 2017-05-21 07:03 am (UTC)(link)
[Welp.]

Hey, Fie, remind me never to piss you off, all right?
zephyranthe: (Looks like something's there.)

[personal profile] zephyranthe 2017-05-21 08:04 am (UTC)(link)
[Hey, this is a perfectly reasonable solution! From her experiences, anyways. At least she's not saying it's fine to kill them, so that's a plus, right??]

It's okay. I don't lock up people who piss me off. [Well whatever that means]

"It's a rather cold tactic, but an effective one nonetheless. Should we take a vote amongst ourselves to see about forcing any occupants in the locked rooms to reveal their presence?"

I think it's a good idea. I don't like the idea of potential enemies hiding from us.

[personal profile] kiddefender 2017-05-21 03:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Really? I haven't been able to read anything here.
carries_war: (Rubedo-Not again...)

[personal profile] carries_war 2017-05-21 05:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Have you looked at any of the books in the study?
kiddefender: (7)

[personal profile] kiddefender 2017-05-21 07:05 pm (UTC)(link)
No, I've only tried to read the letters so far. I figured if they were too complicated, then a book would be worse.
carries_war: (Rubedo-You mean it?)

[personal profile] carries_war 2017-05-21 09:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you normally have trouble reading?
kiddefender: (15)

[personal profile] kiddefender 2017-05-22 07:05 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't really read. I'd only been learning for a few months before the wave happened.

Yes, a rift just opened in the sky. Monsters, stronger than any seen before, came from it.
