Conversion is complete...but the virus-

Probably just it's shell. Quick! Reverse the polarity and turn everyone back to normal size! We need to ask them how they did it - and try and stabilize the girl genius!

[Another bright light, but this time, also, the feeling of being squished by gravity as your ears pop. Soon enough, the forms become much clearer - and smaller. Soon enough, the sensation stops - and shouting from vaarious doctors and soldiers can be heard outside of the EPCOT and Diatron-15.]

The virus--!!

Look at the size of that thing!

Stand back, stand back! Let the micronauts have air!

[The shorter of the two men steps forward, and begins to wave their arm.]

Diatron-15! Welcome back! It appears you brought that nasty illness with you, but it can't harm anyone else now, at least! However, we need to find another way to stabilize the girl genius - you took so long her organs began to fail!

Don't worry, though, we will compensate you as promised! Please, please come out so we can put you through a check-up and decontamination! Then we can take this virus in for study!

[Ha. Ha. Hahahaha...

Well, congratulations. You are alive and back to normal size.

Also, those who have powers from before this journey will find they are back.

[He totally does not squeak in response to that. Nope. Not at all. No ma'am, no startled mouse noises that were really a voice crack combined with a stammered-out "I'm - !" here. But regardless, he keeps his voice just as low when he responds, growing steadily closer to the color of his coat as he does.]

I mean. Well, uh... there's things I'd... if we're gonna... you'll kind of have to at some point, y'know?

[He squeezes her gently, trying to collect his thoughts after that.]

I can believe it. I... God, it was cruel of me to do it, but... I asked Akira to get a message to you.

[Vita smiles at that reaction of his, and to think that was one of the more tame fantasies she had while they were apart.]

He told me and truly, it was the thought of being able to see you again that drove me to work so hard for us to get back to the base. I was so afraid that I was the one who was cruel to you.

[And she's going to lean in to whisper something else.]

I also want to give you a far more pleasant memory of me wearing nothing. When you feel ready for that, of course.

Might take a while, I've got... stuff I didn't tell you about to deal with, about that. But things leading up to - to it? Once we're out of here I want to find a bed and take you to it and not leave for a whole day.

[He means, of course, that he just wants to kiss, and cuddle, and kiss more, and talk about the things they didn't have time to discuss and maybe finally touch what he got the least sexy eyeful possible of at the crime scene weeks ago... any other meaning is just not present in his mind. Sir Galahad, indeed... he leans back, just enough to speak in a normal tone, enough to make it so nobody gets curious about what it is they're whispering about.]

You did write a little about what your life was like before all this, so I can't really say "I can't believe you'd be cruel to anybody", but... no, you weren't cruel to me. Don't worry about that.

[At those words, she seems very pleased. About all of it. Except a day just doesn't seem like enough, but they will have plenty of time once they finish up all the things they need to do.]

I'm glad. You're the one person I didn't want to hurt and I still don't want to hurt. I want to see many smiles from you. I won't make you wait long for me to finish things up in my world, but I think it is only right to tell the Grandmaster that I am resigning and leaving that life behind.
