[The new week comes.

Those who have eaten the offered food from the Stewards will find themselves much more refreshed and energetic. They will also find their need for food is practically nonexistent for the rest of the week. However, that may not be the only side effect of their sustenance they might find-nor will all of the side effects be pleasant.

There are no new floors to explore, though there is a bouncy castle in the arena now. (Thanks, Harriet.) There is also the possibility that there may be more to find on these floors-or maybe they are just going on a wild goose chase. Or maybe there is something to find, though those who look for answers may not like what they find.

And what of the number of Strangers left? The Stewards have already allowed a murderer to get away with their crime scot free, and no one else has uncovered the culprit. Who knows what else the Stewards might have up their sleeves?

...I plan to ask the stewards if the rule about no harm coming to the animals can encompass them, as well. Hopefully I can convince them that starvation would count as harm. [So at least they'll be properly fed.]

[Emma nods, although she still looks a bit troubled.]

[He nods.] Thank you. Hydrangea could usually subsist on water and sunlight, but the latter seems in short supply here.

It does, indeed... which can't be good for us, either.

[She puts a hand to her chin, thoughtfully.]

It'll probably take a while to sink in for us, but the symptoms of that... they only play in to what the Stewards want. Tiredness, fatigue, depression... all things they can use against us.

Be vigilant, all right?

[He nods.] I plan to be. [Even if the symptoms haven't really started to crop up, he misses the sun already.] Both of us will be, right, Hydrangea?

[Emma smiles, pleased with the answer.]

Good to hear.

At any rate, I ought to leave you two to yourselves. I'm glad you've found one another again, though!

[Franciscus nods.] I'm going to show him some more of this place. And some of these other things should probably be returned to their owners.

[hexposition]

[Nod!]

Ah, if you head up to the second floor, the... strange inflated castle in the arena has been converted into sort of a trading post for items we think belong to others.

[silvertongueheir]

[Franciscus nods.] Thank you for that information. I'll take a look later, then. [Though in the end he's going to be extra and set up his own little trade table in the parlor, I guess.]
