WEEK 3

[Well. Good morning, Strangers. When you wake up, you will realize two things.

The first is that something has changed with your memories. One of them is different from when you recall it being before. Clearer, more coherent, more...correct, somehow.

Could it have been an effect of what happened with the trial? You don't know. What you do know is that the staircase outside of the bedrooms has also changed-the way is no longer blocked. There is a new floor above to explore, now.

What do you do, now? Will you eat anything that had been offered by the Stewards, if you'd managed to snag some of it during the trial? Will you continue to dive into the mystery of this place? And if you do-how much more will it cost you?

There is, unfortunately, only one way to find out.

[ After investigating the library, Ambrosine spends the rest of her morning there, walking around with the books about as far as the chains will let her and trying to find the most comfortable position to sit and read. She has two staves with her, one of them a golden scepter with a ruby orb set at the tip and the other... a wooden one with wings?

After spending basically all morning there and devoting her afternoon to bothering other people, she heads for the tavern, where you can find her...drinking mead. While wearing a wizard hat.

She pounds the table and has a somewhat frustrated expression on her face. ]

Ugh, come on now...

[Osomatsu enters the tavern in the evening. he looks tired, because he's hungry, and he is finally going to give into the lure of temptation.

he stops for a moment when he sees Ambrosine, wary. he's still not feeling up to socializing with anyone but it can't be helped.

for now, he'll slide into a table near the back, looking at the bar and considering what he wants first]

[ After that last conversation where she outed herself as a necromancer in front of everyone, she's on edge. ]

[yyyyyeah that was intense. Osomatsu sits up straighter, nodding his head to her]

Hey...

[you do not address a queen with a simple 'Hey.' so he adds]

Your Majesty?

You doin' okay? [he noticed her pounding the table, sounding frustrated]

...not as I'd hoped. Tell me, have you had the pleasure of imbibing one of these... [ she gestures with a look of mild fatigue ]libations yet?

Uh... are you asking if I've drank any of these?

[Well, Emma's got to go up and explore eventually. And with the books being as they are, it's not long before Emma runs across Ambrosine trying to get comfortable.

Emma acknowledges her with a polite nod.]

Good morning, Ms. Ambrosine.

[...why are you carrying two staves around a library. Also, a winged staff, you say...]

[Well, a woman is more than welcome to carry as many staves as she wants. The question is whether that winged one is the one Ambrosine got from the rotator with the gold hook at the end, because that staff happens to be Emma's.]

I admit I haven't really been up here much yet... have you found most of the books to be a language you can understand?

...for the most part, yes. It's a far cry from the libraries I've grown accustomed to, but... I'll have to make do.

[Harriet's not sure why you'd react THAT way after having a drink.

But if she doesn't want it, she'll finish it!! Only because she hasn't decided what she wants though.]

[Is that some figure of speech she failed to learn while in medieval land before... You'd think she'd notice a missing tongue. Then again it's not like she kissed her??? Squinting now.]
