WEEK 2

[As one week changes to the next, the Titled will find themselves having vivid dreams. Very vivid. Perhaps too real to only be dreams. Lost memories? Could it be, then, that those who brought you here did something to your minds along with your bodies?

Whatever the case, everyone, no matter how deep their sleep, are awoken to the sound of creaking, groaning metal coming from the first floor. When they do go to investigate, they will find something surprising.

The set of the doors on the right have opened.

Even the Intercessor seems stunned. It has been an odd weekend for everyone. After all, in between finding items seemingly popping out of mid air, and a bloodied statue that belongs to seemingly no one, its all very...strange.

Somehow, one gets the feeling that those strange items won't be the last they see. Indeed, after the doors open, there's the worrying, foreboding feeling coming back once more. And if those feelings are connected to the strange occurrence on Saturday...it can only mean one thing.

There's really only one way to find out if that's the case. The powers that brought you here certainly aren't going to give anyone a straight answer.

So, Titled: welcome to Week 2.

Really? But humans aren't that tough at all, not unless they're using nanotechnology. That's why they need Combat Realians and bioweapons.

LIKE BODIES NOT MADE MOSTLY OF MAGIC, FOR EXAMPLE!

[His first impulse is to say that magic doesn't exist, but...different worlds.]

I don't know how that works. All my world has is psychic powers. But bodies made of magic are fragile?

IN OUR WORLD, EVERY BEING HAS A SOUL. A HUMAN CAN HAVE MANY DIFFERENT TYPES OF SOULS, WHICH CAN SURVIVE EVEN AFTER DEATH. IT COMES IN MANY DIFFERENT COLORS ❤. THEY CAN HARNESS POWERS MONSTERS CAN ONLY DREAM OF HAVING! THIS MAKES THEM VERY POWERFUL! VERY STRONG!

...AND...NYEH-HEH...SUPER SCARY IF THEY WANT TO HURT YOU. ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE A MONSTER. A MONSTER ONLY HAS ONE TYPE. ONE COLOR. A SOUL THAT POWERS OUR BODIES, BUT CAN'T SURVIVE OUTSIDE OF THE BODY. AND OUR BODY IS ONLY AS GOOD AS THE CONDITION OF OUR SOUL. IF YOU HURT ONE, YOU HURT THE OTHER.

EVEN I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, AM NOT IMMUNE TO THIS WEAKNESS!

[He knows absolutely nothing about souls or the harming thereof, what are you talking about?]

So it's not necessarily your body that's fragile, it's just that it's really easy to hurt your soul? I guess that makes sense, anyone would die easy if someone attacked their consciousness directly.

OH NO, OUR BODIES ARE FRAGILE, THEY JUST ARE CONNECTED TO OUR SOULS TOO...

So why not just wear armor?

But it barely covers your arms. Is it supposed to generate some sort of force field?

If we had access to any real technology, I'd have tons of lightweight and flexible but really durable fabrics to suggest...I guess leather might work if you're worried about getting hurt?

LEATHER, HUH? WHERE WOULD I FIND THIS...LEATHER?

Probably in the room for making clothes. It's a type of really thick, stiff fabric. Sort of like this.

[He takes off his jacket and shows it to Papyrus. It's made of an incredibly convincing faux-leather material.]
