FINAL WEEK

[There are no new floors that open today.

No food, if you didn't bring any with you. No way to figure out how much more anyone can take of this. There's just no way to know. Half of your number are gone. Half of your number either betrayed, or were betrayed. It is overwhelming and terrible-and who knows what more is to come.

You can feel the shift in the air. The fear, the strain, the tension, between everyone who is left. What can anyone do? Is there any way out of this? Is everyone truly condemned, after all? Who will betray whom?

((OOC NOTE: This post is your last chance to have your characters explore the Mansion and all of its corners for possible clues. After the Final Investigation is open on Thursday, the Mansion will still be accessible, but the Strangers will be unable to uncover any new clues-or alter their Nightmare levels-in Investigations or Encounters.

[Osomatsu's attraction to Franciscus was unexpected. he was pretty surprised by it, considering his original was such a hound. but this Osomatsu only has memories of a girl that he's never met, and probably never will meet. Franciscus was not a memory. he was real, and their interactions were real, even if for a short time.

and now that Osomatsu thinks about it, about the way Krone talks about Eric, he's a kind of ticked off. Eric, though not in his right mind, murdered Franciscus, and, yet, he still lives. Krone and Eric didn't even know each other that long. why do they get to be happy? and he...

he turns away for a moment, trying not to let his thoughts spiral out of control. calm down, he already said he wasn't going to seek revenge on Eric]

...Obviously. [a slight sigh] I'm just worried about him. He seems like he's been really affected by this place. [what Osomatsu means is, is that Eric is going crazy]

[Isn't it strange? Since the last time they spoke at length in the tavern, four people have died, one of whom was even a child Eric took it upon himself to protect. Krone has also injured her eye. Yet she speaks in much less apologetic terms this time, all but saying that she and Eric have now actually become a couple, and insouciantly avoiding most of the graver realities about their situation. Incandescently happy.

Well, don't. We know by now that souls aren't people, but I don't eat them anyway, just so I can keep an eye on him. That spear will land true as long as I have anything to say about it.

[This is completely different from putting down the spear altogether but okay]

Yes. There are only six of us. If we weren't all on the same side, we'd be in trouble.

To be honest, I wasn't getting anywhere with this... I might hit the road. Are you doing anything else today?

I'm not sure. Probably just gonna look around a bit.

[see if he missed anything important. he feels that everything is coming to a head now, and if he doesn't do something about it, he'll regret it]

[She puts the book back up on the shelf and starts walking away then turns her head over her shoulder. Which she has to turn pretty far because of the eyepatch.]

[HMMMM. she usually calls him mister Matsuno. what's with the informality? friendship? or...]
