FINAL INVESTIGATION

[The morning of the last day-the day of the deadline promised by the Elder Steward--there is a loud CRACK that echoes through the Mansion. It comes above, over, and around them.

Indeed, it seems to originate from outside.

Those who go outside will find themselves staring at a sky that is cracking everywhere. The cracks Osomatsu had seen before had somehow spread over the days unchecked. Now, the cracks become larger and larger, until finally, the sky itself breaks.

Glass-like pieces fall downwards as it shatters, dissipating lone before they hit the ground into sparkles. A cool breeze suddenly blows through the garden, while the sun suddenly appears for the first time, shining high in the sky. A...slightly creeping-looking, laughing sun, but that doesn't seem to be an illusion, unfortunately. Also it doesn't look ready to swoop down to attack them, which might be a small comfort.

The hole in the wall that had been made earlier is still there, large enough to crawl through. And when they do, the Strangers will find themselves in a more open grassy field, with a beach to the south.

The nice weather and grass, however, is not all that is there. It's clear there are other places in this complex to explore.]




[Before anyone can react, there is the sudden telltale ticking that begins in their heads, and their investigation scrolls appear. It's clear that the Stewards have started a countdown for them to get to the Temple, which sits beyond their immediate area, within a forest of trees that the grass transforms into. But, perhaps, the Strangers can use this to their advantage. Now, they know they have a time limit to search these places for more information about just why they are there.

Perhaps, now, they might have a chance to find something useful.

There are six strangers left. Best get to work.]

[It's all there, for all her sandwiching needs. And her milk needs. And really, there's a lot of food here Krone could theoretically make food for all the survivors and still have plenty left over.]

[It's a small one floor place with only two rooms in the entire place. There's something like a wall separating the kitchen from the rest of the place but it's definitely got a bachelor pad feel to it.]

[Okay well is there any stuff in the kitchen like cabinets or something. Landmarks not related to food production.]

[There is exactly one cabinet in the kitchen! It's pretty sparse structure wise but at least it's something to hold things in.]

[Okay well Krone remembers the bed not having any shenanigans. Let's go for the bag.]

[The bag is leathery, like dried skin. In fact, it's a lot like incredibly dried skin on a human. It even has a few flakes in the folds.

[There is a single blue soul within it. A soul with wings protruding out of it, strangely enough.]

[Wings of what? Bird, insect, bat? She picks it up and shakes it a bit. Is she sure it's not reacting anymore.]

[It looks more like translucent angel wings, if anything.

Also, nothing happens when it's shaken.]

[But since the energy can be sensed... Fine. She puts the soul and the bag into two separate parts of her sylladex. Now it's jar time]

[Say hello to a bunch of floating embryos in a majority of those jars.

Also, another blue soul inside one of the other jars.]

So there's NO visible soul in any embryo jar and there IS a blue soul in this one jar?

EXAMINE BLUE SOUL]

[It doesn't have anything special to it, unlike the winged soul.

It does seem to glow a little the closer she brings the jar to herself, though.]

[Okay well at this point Krone is just plain curious and she decaptchalogues the winged soul to bring it back in her hand close to the glass on the jar of this other soul. What happens]

[Both of them glow just a little brighter.

It looks like these two souls are...compatible, for lack of a better word.]

[IF THIS IS SOUL AND "HIS LITTLE GIRLFRIEND" KRONE WILL BE PRETTY UPSET!!!

She unscrews the jar, puts the winged soul into the jar so now there are two souls in there, reseals the jar, and captchalogues it.

Now for the other jars. Aka the embryo ones. Do they have any of those G notes and stuff]
