WEEK 1

[The train wouldn't stop. Not until very early the next morning. The few who might have been awake would be able to exit the train, entering the cool twilight of the dawn. The star is dark, and few stars can be seen in the sky as a cold breeze begins to blow from the mountain beyond. You can see some chunks of rock floating idly nearby, far away from the station that it won't hit trains, but near enough that one can see they are larger than the train they just disembarked.

Lastly, laid out in front of them, the first port of call: Menahoven. The mountain: The Throat of the World.

But which world? Who knows. Not any of yours. Maybe it doesn't matter. Not when you are so far from home. Not when you have no way to get off this rock without the aid of the trains-and they will not let you pass.

It looks like you're stuck here until the Conductor decides to leave. In the meantime, everyone will need to get comfortable.

[Upon disembarking from the train, Towa's mouth immediately drops. It can't be helped. Her feet carry her forward to look at the sky in awe. But it's not without it's own small token of fear and sadness.]

I guess... we may be further from Erebonia than I thought...

[But a bit of hopelessness isn't enough to stop her. There are a lot of things to see in this town and after all that time on the train-- she's ready to get out a bit. The apothacary seems like a good place to try. She didn't expect it to be something you could do on your own.]

I guess we're allowed to make our own items.

[She also pays a much needed visit to the library. This is where she spends most of the day really; browsing through books trying to learn about the place. If only to try and find a clue where in the universe they might be. She might hurt herself at this rate, trying to reach books that are just. Out of her height zone.]

Towa does look at the forge but...]

I figured not. It would be too strange for a town like this to make guns. I suppose... I could try to learn something new...

[She doesn't sound confident though.]

[There is one thing Towa wants to investigate and that's this Word Wall. She read some books in the library. She doesn't know what Egypt is but there's something about the claims that don't seem right either. So she figured it was worth checking out at least a little.]

[Huh. The train stopped. Zack isn't one for getting up at the crack of dawn, so it's about late morning when he finally sets foot outside the train.

Into a place unlike anything he had seen in his life.

You might find him standing near the train, mouth agape as he stares at the entirely new scenery.]

Oh my god...

[Whenever he's done having his mind blown, he attempts to go to one of the other trains and tries to get on. Only to be denied.]

HAH?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN, I'M NOT ALLOWED ON THE TRAIN?! [Uh... Someone stop him before he ends up arguing with the station attendant. Or worse.

Anyway, as soon as he decides the train station is staffed by assholes he'll wander off. You might find him at the pyramid later, questioning its very existence. Why, he's only seen these on tv. Never in his life had he been able to get up close to one. Now he's just... Confused. Why is it here? What does it do? He kind of wants to touch it...]

[... Yeah, Zack's gonna try to walk up to the pyramid and touch it. Construction workers be damned.]

[Holy shit that's a lot of swords and armor. Zack's gaze shifts from those to the actual forge.]

So this is how they make knives?

That's right!

It seems like a difficult skill to learn. Although I've heard in the East it's also seen as something of an art form.

[ So anyone around in ? or is there a good time when he can just waltz right in when he's on one of his walks? ]

I'm not gonna break it! Geez...

[He doesn't have anything on him to break it with... What kind of smooth is it, anyway? Sandy smooth? Or more like a polished rock?

Also yelling at the construction workers.]

Hey! What kinda rock is this?

[It's broken and cracked everywhere. It's like something came in and ripped it apart. It's also in a language that is practically impossible to decipher. It's definitely not one Towa would know.]

[Now that they've arrived at the mysterious museum the Conductor alluded to, Proto Man decides it's time to take a break from the personal project he'd been working on through the night and have a look around.

...Wow. He really isn't in Monsteropolis anymore, Toto.

He spends some time looking at the Pyramid, or as much of it as he can. He has an oddly... guilty look on his face for some reason.]

Pharaoh Man should be here for this...

[The Gift Shop draws his eye as well, though he doesn't have anything he can use to trade yet. But he had asked the Conductor about whether or not there was one, and it would be rude not to get her a little something as a thank you for her glowing recommendation. He'll help himself to a map and brochure while he's there, too.]

A gift shop with no keychains or postcards? Not even a snowglobe?

[He'll end up in the Library for a good chunk of the day, trying to find anything truly useful among all the books here. Maybe those Proscribed books, if he can figure out a way to get ahold of one...]

What's this thing for anyway? [Lightly knocks on the rock.]

[Interesting. And there's nothing else like this language in any of the other parts of the town or in the library is there?]

I can't say any of this looks familiar to me either.

[ But a breath of fresh air was better then being cooped up in there all day, he guesses. ]
