[The train wouldn't stop. Not until very early the next morning. The few who might have been awake would be able to exit the train, entering the cool twilight of the dawn. The star is dark, and few stars can be seen in the sky as a cold breeze begins to blow from the mountain beyond. You can see some chunks of rock floating idly nearby, far away from the station that it won't hit trains, but near enough that one can see they are larger than the train they just disembarked.

Lastly, laid out in front of them, the first port of call: Menahoven. The mountain: The Throat of the World.

But which world? Who knows. Not any of yours. Maybe it doesn't matter. Not when you are so far from home. Not when you have no way to get off this rock without the aid of the trains-and they will not let you pass.

It looks like you're stuck here until the Conductor decides to leave. In the meantime, everyone will need to get comfortable.

[Holy shit that's a lot of swords and armor. Zack's gaze shifts from those to the actual forge.]

So this is how they make knives?

That's right!

It seems like a difficult skill to learn. Although I've heard in the East it's also seen as something of an art form.

Oh, sorry. Eastern Zemuria. The continent that Erebonia is on.

But lemme guess, it's got fairies and dungeons and all that junk?

Nope. Sorry, nothing like that. Let's see... Erebonia is a place that's wrapped up in tradition. Even now, the class system is very deeply rooted in everything we do.

So you have nobles... and you have commoners.

Although... I suppose there are a few... anomalies in our world. People like McBurn and Rean that aren't exactly normal, but-- we don't really have a word for what they are. They're just incredible people I suppose.

I don't know, actually. You'd have to ask him yourself. He doesn't talk about himself much.

All I really know is that he's the strongest member of an organization with a bit of a bad reputation.

... You mean like some kinda criminal? 'Cause I can relate to that. Sorta.

[Granted, all he did was kill people and he never really got close to the others.]
