[Well, Champions, it certainly does look like you're trapped here.

There's limited food and limited supplies... and while there's a limited number of you, there's certainly too many of you for what you've got on hand. Never mind the whole deal that you've been kidnapped and shoved into someone else's house. Like, who even does that?

And all to "send a message," besides. Whatever that even means.

Regardless, things aren't going to change by just sitting and moping around. You're here until your captor decides he's done with you, so while there's no guarantee that acting won't just make things worse, it's got to be at least a little better than this.

I can't remember the last time I had a sleepover, but I throw a lot of birthday parties with the guild. Just let me know if there's any games you want to play!

I'll play pretty much anything! But my favorite game is Duel Monsters. [ But he doesn't expect anyone else to know how to play besides Judai. ]

Oh, I don't think I know this one... I've played other monster-battling kind of games though, the TCG of Backpack monsters was really popular in my high school class.

But do you actually have it with you?

Mmn, kinda. Normally we would sleep in our dorms, but for a while we were sleeping in the gym pretty often too.

Is there any reason you'd choose the gym over your dorms?

Eheh, it was the best way to make sure everyone was safe when we got transported to another dimension.

It sounds like you have an eventful life back home.

Things aren't usually that crazy, but yeah I guess so.

[ Children's cardgames are very real. ]

So this is what they've been up to. I was starting to wonder where all the pillows and blankets went.

It's a great way to spend the night together considering everything that's going on. And it's a good way of getting people to show up too. [ He laughs a bit, because there will always be shy types who need some persuasion to join shenanigans. But no one likes to sleep cold, probably. ]

[ Probably. There might be some people out there who like it, you never know! ]

Yeah. Though, I do wonder what else they have planned. Parties like this usually have games but I haven't seen anyone else with a deck.

Gauis plays a game called Blade, but he doesn't have his deck with him. [ Which is a shame because he would be here for this. ]

I haven't run into anyone else with a deck either, but we shouldn't let that stop us. [ Like it would, but he needs to state it regardless! ]

Blade? Never heard of that game before. [ With a name like that, it sounds like it has a real edge to it. He'll have to ask Gaius about it sometime.

An idea he shelves once he hears Johan suggesting a duel. Somebody here really wants to get their game on! And he'd usually be all over that, especially given who's asking. But he's kind of got some stuff going on right now.

... but. Again, this is Johan. ] ... all right. Sounds like you're all fired up, so if that's a challenge, I gotta accept.

Me either, but I bet there's tons of different card games in every dimension. [ And while it's not as cool as Duel Monsters, he wouldn't say no to trying them all. ]

I thought you'd say that. [ Said with a half laugh as he makes to take his deck out of his pocket. ]

But we don't have to do it right now. [ Cause he's fine with just talking too, and it sounds like there might be something else at play here. ]

There's gotta be. What else would everyone go to school for? [ Learning? Psh, no. And there's no better way to solve your problems than dueling.

But, also, dueling won't solve his problems.

Not that that stops him from taking his deck out of his back pocket. ] We might as well. Besides, it's a good time to show everyone what kind of games we play back home.
