[Awaken.

Fifteen strangers have been gathered to the Depths. When they awaken, they will feel nauseous in their stomachs. No doubt confused. Perhaps, even terrified. And certainly, there is a good reason for it - they are not where they were before. If they had powers back where they came from, they seem to be all gone. And it appears that someone has left...guidelines for them. Who? Its uncertain. So far, there seems to be no one else save for them in this hot and stuffy place. No...'intercessor' to be seen yet, certainly.

There are a few small graces for this group, at least. Their memories are intact. And, perhaps, they will discover the power that their Title brings to them. But these are only small graces.

So welcome.

I suppose that's the question. It isn't a title I've ever had before.

It is your Title now. It is what you have been given, along with what comes with it.

Are you worried?

I don't think it's strange to be worried in a situation like this.

...No, I suppose that's understandable.

Still, allow me to say this. I personally do not have any malicious designs on any of you, rules or no rules. It may not ease much, but it is something I can offer.

Your stew smells wonderful. [Helping herself to a serving...] What sort of ingredients did you use?

[intercessing]

Ah. Garlic, yams grown in volcanic soil, and...well. The meat normally used for this particular recipe is...not available, so I had to improvise and use pheasant meat.

[Is that some pride in their voice?]

You've made it your own way, then.

[We interrupt this response for a mouthful of stew...]

And it tastes every bit as good as it smells.

Thank you. I was worried I'd put a bit too much salt in.

[Hunter noticed my cooking! I still got it!

Cooking under unusual circumstances [such as actually cooking at all, if you're certain princesses] can be daunting, but you've managed it well.

I'll have to tell Dame Regina the recipe when I get back to High Lagaard. She may have to adapt it still further, though.

I've had my experience with this on my journeys. Its good to see I haven't quite lost my touch.

Oh? You've been on a journey as well?

Several long journeys. But, my own journeys are long behind me.

A retired adventurer, then. You must have many stories.

More than enough, to help pass the time here, certainly, once everyone is settled in, I suppose.
