MOCK WEEK

[Awaken.

Fifteen strangers have been gathered to the Depths. When they awaken, they will feel nauseous in their stomachs. No doubt confused. Perhaps, even terrified. And certainly, there is a good reason for it - they are not where they were before. If they had powers back where they came from, they seem to be all gone. And it appears that someone has left...guidelines for them. Who? Its uncertain. So far, there seems to be no one else save for them in this hot and stuffy place. No...'intercessor' to be seen yet, certainly.

There are a few small graces for this group, at least. Their memories are intact. And, perhaps, they will discover the power that their Title brings to them. But these are only small graces.

So welcome.

Well, I could have sworn I had a perfectly good knife on me to begin with. But of course they've confiscated it now. I'm a little surprised they've given us replacements, to be completely honest...

Perhaps it's to put us on equal ground. Everybody with an opportunity, but no one with the things they're accustomed to.

But you're right. If they're trying to see who's good at killing, they really should start us all off on the same level. Like a proficiency test!

Not entirely. I would think that you would know the different types.

So you suspect someone will act sooner rather than later? Is it the state of the world that makes you think that way, or something else?

As long as it gets the job done. [Shrug.]

Well, I don't know if I'm in much of a hurry to get out of here myself. I...haven't...felt very much like working on the radio tower lately. [His chipper attitude seems to falter for a second, but then he slaps it right back on.] I'm sure a little break is just what I need to get back into tip-top shape!

But my own small human failings don't mean that other people don't have jobs to get back to! This must really be cutting into your productivity!

Oh, I have faith in my employees to get the job done. Things were at a point where it wouldn't much matter regardless. So you work in radio, then.

[Ooooh, someone in management! Good to know - though she's not Strex, so does it matter?]

Oh yes, I've always been a dedicated radio host! Our little community is just getting set up, so I thought we deserved a brand-new radio tower! There may not be a large audience, but that only makes the ones who stick around alllllll the more important~!

Life has an enduring wish to improve upon everything it creates, doesn't it?

Oh, yes! We're going to rebuild a new Desert Bluffs, just as big and beautiful as the first one! There's me, and Doug and Alicia sometimes - they're the giant masked warriors that live in the otherworldly desert!

Oh, gosh no! They were there before I got there. I fell through an old oak door, you see, and when I awoke, I was in a strange desert beneath a blinding sun. The masked warriors weren't around then - Carlos introduced me later.

Certainly no world I know, though they are numerous, so it's no wonder. At least, that's what people say.
