Week 2

WEEK 2

[
It's been one week on the Gigantic
and it's clear that Zero
is a big dickzzzzzsht

A week has passed. However, there is no denying anymore that the power Zero possesses is very real. One person is already dead because of this, regardless of what, exactly, the Gimme's role in it was.

There is also no denying that the ship is somehow powered by blood, if not made of blood entirely. Why? How? And what do the clues uncovered in the previous week have to do with it?

The watches, meanwhile have not changed in any way. Everyone is still in their color groups. The doors to the next floor are still locked as well. Perhaps those are also murder dependent. Which is...also not good. But at least there's food and laundry down here, so...maybe it'll get boring eventually, but for now, infinite confinement on the bottom decks of the ship may not be so bad. right?

...Right?

There are currently 18 strangers on this ship.]

Oh, are we talking about last week?

[Speak of the devil!]
superstylishsquid: (Is that supposed to impress me?)

[personal profile] superstylishsquid 2023-06-22 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
[No, the devil is speaking!]

Yeah. Apparently you were stabbing everyone in the butt?

[personal profile] not_a_lego_maniac 2023-06-22 02:10 am (UTC)(link)
...I was. I thought it would be the least painless way to play that stupid game without getting anyone hurt too badly. I guess I was wrong.
superstylishsquid: (Huh?)

[personal profile] superstylishsquid 2023-06-22 02:16 am (UTC)(link)
I'd have gone for something like the upper left arm for that. The butt kinda makes it hard to sit down.

...Oooooh

Maybe next time, then!

superstylishsquid: (How interesting.)

[personal profile] superstylishsquid 2023-06-22 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
I think most people here would prefer if there wasn't a next time for that sort of game.

[personal profile] not_a_lego_maniac 2023-06-22 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
...Well, of course. I'd rather we not do these games. But if for some reason we had to do them again, I at least...know for next time. Right?
superstylishsquid: (I don't know what to make of it.)

[personal profile] superstylishsquid 2023-06-22 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
I guess. But I get the feeling games aren't likely to repeat exactly. Wouldn't want us getting used to any one thing.

[personal profile] not_a_lego_maniac 2023-06-22 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
I...are you sure about that?
superstylishsquid: (Oh yeah...)

[personal profile] superstylishsquid 2023-06-22 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
Not completely, but changing things up keeps us off guard. The only reason I can think of to do the same thing over and over is if they find something that might break us.
not_a_lego_maniac: (-_-)

[personal profile] not_a_lego_maniac 2023-06-22 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
.........

Yeah, that's...that's true too. They could do either one, especially if we're trapped here forever, can't they?
superstylishsquid: (It's pathetic.)

[personal profile] superstylishsquid 2023-06-22 03:19 am (UTC)(link)
Well, if it were me...I'd save the things I thought might break someone for motives, when I only needed one person to crack. From what I've seen of people living in oppressive conditions, it's easier to actually break a smaller number of people.

And some just plain never give up.

Have you...have you ever...?

Done something like this? No, but I have worked with an organization that made a habit of conquering kingdoms and cities. Seeing as we weren't exactly welcome rulers, I've seen how people react to that sort of stress.

The ones that don't give up hope just from being outmatched don't tend to change their minds just from a little effort to make the population in general miserable. If anything, it makes them even more determined to take their freedom back.

...

Yeah...yeah. I.

I want to be free. We should find a way out, not hurt one another.
superstylishsquid: (Oh yeah...)

[personal profile] superstylishsquid 2023-06-22 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
That is how humans tend to manage their more significant accomplishments.

Not much of a 'party of equals' guy myself, but also not interested in giving Zero the satisfaction of playing by his rules.

[personal profile] not_a_lego_maniac 2023-06-22 03:41 pm (UTC)(link)
But what do we do? How do we get out?

I haven't found anything but that big door.
superstylishsquid: (I don't know what to make of it.)

[personal profile] superstylishsquid 2023-06-23 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
Good question. Since the ship is actually made of flesh under some sort of paint or illusion, I thought I'd try just cutting through the exit...but the door's actual metal, and the ship stole my knife before I could do any real damage trying to cut next to the door.
