[When the investigation ends, the D O N G rings throughout the ship, followed by Zero's voice.]

It is time. Everyone, come to the theater. Time is...wasting.

[And so it is. The seating has once more changed to reflect the fallen-Moriarty and now Brain's podiums are draped in black. And, of course, there is no food-

The screens come up, and the mask of Zero appears, ever inscrutable. Their instructions are brief.]

Your Brain is gone, I'm afraid. Cut into pieces and cast aside...and someone here knows why. Now, it's time for you to discover the truth as well...if you can.


[The trial for the murder of Brain, the Blue, has begun.]

Yes. As best as I can examine so far, it seems that of the dismemberment wounds, none were cauterized. Which makes me believe we have at least some information about the timeline, if my theory is correct. The damage to his neck occurred while he was hung in the lounge, and froze his then-intact body in the state that was easily cut up like a doll.

He wasn't human, so it's possible his blood vessels just work differently.

It's true. I'm trying to figure out how his blood vessels did work. If we simply do not know at all, then we cannot derive any information about the timeline from that.

[And he draws a sharp knife.]

...we do need to be absolutely sure. I will start my attempt at a timeline as soon as I can after this.

[He nods and takes the knife to open a slit in the arm's wrist. Is there blood, and does it leak out?]

[ There's blood, but it doesn't leak out. It just kind of, uh, stays there. ]

Yeah, it looks like the blood isn't inclined to leave the veins without circulation.

And yet, there were a lot of bloody paper towels in the toilet next to that hand.

Ugh...and if they were in the toilet, Val and I can't exactly taste them for comparison.

But that might mean that the culprit lost some blood of their own, and wanted to dispose of that evidence because they knew there are multiple people here who would be able to tell it didn't belong to Brain.
