I simply find it very strange that, from what I understand, Zero has had absolutely no reaction when Aoi-kun owned up to his actions. [In other words, it does not matter whether or not Ayame had already been kidnapped - it's that she hasn't heard about Ayame's status, even verbally, being changed after Aoi's confession.]

But yeah, the point is, I don't think Aoi has anything else to lose by not helping the culprit. Besides, it's entirely possible the culprit could've fabricated evidence themselves.
