[So, that trial sure happened, didn't it? And on nearly empty stomachs, no less. That's why people might catch Alastor headed for the kitchen as soon as they're out of the theater, obviously intent on making food. He's in there a while, actually, and the hallway outside of it smells strongly of some rather tasty food.

What he's up to will become clear when he goes around to tell people to visit the mess hall. There, he's set up a varied buffet on one of the tables, all of various foods easy to serve in small portions. This includes small slices of beef only very lightly seared on the outside, but also more fully cooked fare, and even a few fruit and vegetable dishes. Plus the requisite spread of alcohol, because it sure has been A Day, huh?

...Also, while Hermes obviously doesn't eat, he still gets the instructions to go to the mess hall. Huh.]

If we've been infused with the powers of various Devil Arms, then even the most mortal of you should be at least partially demonic now.

And even if you weren't, there are devils who started out as human souls.

Does that mean its permanent?

It's...something I expect we'd have to work to reverse. I'd need to be able to get a look at what's going on with our souls for anything more concrete, and considering I've lost more demonic power than I've gained...

All right. So it's something to investigate later.

And, I suppose, until then, these powers are one more tool that we can use. Especially if my daddy is right, and the only thing that can kill the tree are these powers.

Well, there are demonic parasites that feed on the Qliphoth...but I haven't exactly seen any of those around.

So yeah, demonic weapons or magic are likely to be our only option.

Would enough of us using them together be enough, do you think?

At our current power? I doubt it...the Qliphoth is hardy, even without its custodian fighting directly.

It's still demonic in its own right, though. That satchet Aoi threw was full of herbs that are dangerous to demons.
