[A week has passed. There's been no body, no investigation, no trial. No deaths. Congratulations!

Now the question is, will it last? At the moment, the Commander seems content with forcing people to do petty and mean-spirited errands in return for a mere shower. On the one hand, it's just for showers. On the other hand, what if the demands start to get more extreme? Would caving in encourage her? Is anyone willing to try and find out?

Honesty, with all the strange dates and information floating around from what's been uncovered, the only one in this place who's probably not worried as the time slips into its next movement is Sir Riprazor McRockfang. That's right, he's a sir. A grumpy sir, yes, but still a sir. No one's going to mess with him, regardless of what his true origins may be. And if they do, beware - he bites. Omnom. Mister Morris, has it occurred to you that angering our host may actually hurt the rest of us? If she's angry, she has the power to take it out on whomever here she likes. Why would she JUST focus on you? I know it may seem easy to manipulate her, but she is also incredibly flippant.

[ He's just so disappointed. The tone he's taken is someone who's scolding a child that did something wrong. ]

[He knows that tone. Worse, he knows he's earned that tone.]

I don't - you'd think she would, though, right? But you're probably right, she's not predictable.

[He slumps down a bit, seeming to draw in on himself.]

I don't know what the hell's wrong with me. I get angry and I just can't think. I mean that's always been bad, but here... it's like not having my partner around means I haven't got a conscience.

Mister Morris, if you require a tether to remind you not to fly off the handle, then it seems to me you still have a lot of growing to do. Still, if you have so much trouble with it, I can help you. But I cannot do that if I do not know what you are going to do.

[He looks very, very far away, then. Bright blue eyes, a smile that could light up New York City. Always there. Always ready if he was about to go wrong. Always - and he couldn't remember her name.]

I don't know what I'm going to do until it's happening, that's the thing. I mean, if I could stop myself, I would. I need someone willing to stop me if I start to go too far.

You know, I wouldn't mind it if the God I grew up following acted like you, if He came down here Himself and had to straighten us all out.

[He smiles, trying to play it off as somehow flippant, and... probably failing completely, because that smile doesn't really reach his eyes. Whatever you are, C, you're good, and Jonathan likes you. A lot.]
