WEEK 3

[As Marie said: so much for trust and resolve. Two people are dead, and there is very little anyone can do about it now, no matter how much they would have wanted to sacrifice themselves.

In particular, with Marie's words during the trial, it's clear that time is limited. Or is it? Marie is also capable of omitting the truth when it serves her needs, especially when it comes towards the Strangers and their still-missing memories. In any case, one can only hope they don't fall for her tricks again, even though getting away with murder would - apparently - save at least one life.

There is something else, as well. When everyone wakes up the morning, they will find that information on their wristwatches has been updated to reflect their new number - and something new about their powers. Not only that, but a new floor has opened up above Floor 1 for everyone to explore. Maybe more can be found on just what, exactly, is going on.

Is Marie telling the truth? Is the universe really ending? Or is it just another means of getting what she wants? Whatever is happening, people will need to be more careful around her - and one another. Who knows what Marie will offer next - or what your roommate or new friend is now capable of as a result. Especially since it's now known, thanks to Marie's actions during the trial, that everyone has definitely lost some memories. And unfortunately, no one seems to have regained any of them so far - or if anyone has, they haven't said a word.

If trust and resolve was ever needed, it feels like now is the time to try and find all that.

[Oh, great, here's Marie again with another message, in the kitchen now. This time she's holding an egg with a very weird face on it. She's tossing it up and down without a care.

HAHAHA!! SO I HAVE THESE EGGS--

[Suddenly, the egg drops from Marie's hands. A CRACK echoes through the kitchen. Marie's hands curl into fists as her face sets into a deep frown.]

...ER, THESE...HARD-BOILED EGGS!! YEAH, YOU DIDN'T SEE THAT!

SO, FOR THE NEXT 24 HOURS, YOU GOTTA TAKE CARE OF THE HARD BOILED EGG BABY! YEAH!! AND THE ONE WHO TAKES CARE OF IT THE BEST WINS! WHAT DO YOU WIN?? HMMHMM HMM...THAT'S A SURPRISE!! A REALLY GOOD SURPRISE, YEAH!! LIKE ONE OF YOUR MEMORIES GOOD!!

🥚 You're expected to treat the egg as if it's your very own, precious child. Or someone else's, if you would eat your own child. Please don't eat the egg baby.

🥚 The egg baby is hard boiled, but the shell can be broken. Please don't be Marie and break the egg baby. She's not too cool for school. That deducts 20 points from your total.

🥚 The scoring attached to the sheet delivered to your character is as follows:

✏️ Give your baby a face: 3 points

✏️ Give your baby a name: 3 points

✏️ Complete tasks with your baby: 5 points each

[ Well. Baku is properly motivated. He's got his egg baby and already said baby has a face quickly drawn on it. Listen, he's not an artist. ]

[ Passepartout is carefully bathing his baby inside a glass of water in the bar. He's keeping an eye out for anyone he can grab for the socialization points. He's being dutiful about this challenge, because he really wants that memory back. ]

Speaking of which, there is some interesting reading material on the lab computers, as well as a few notebooks. Information about what this base is made of, information about a virus... among other things. Feel free to ask me about them.

[About two hours after the motive got announced, Angela can be found in the second floor open area, readily visible from the open elevator doors. She's got this chair, and table, and she has a lot of little baby egg clothes lined up. Between the pink bows and blue collars and green camo, it's pretty "two aisles at Toys-R-Us". Her own egg, protected underneath an upside-down glass, is wearing some kind of boa-collared lilac jacket.]

[On one hand, Barbara would like to figure out just what she'd forgotten that Halloween night, especially considering she got Rick's crutch and it was kind of beat up.

On the other hand, though, there are people here that have straight up forgotten other people, and for all she knows Rick could've just been an idiot and slipped and fell and messed up the crutch that way.

While she doesn't think the latter is very likely, she'll let someone else get a memory back and just try not to be a bother this time around.
