WEEK 3
[As Marie said: so much for trust and resolve. Two people are dead, and there is very little anyone can do about it now, no matter how much they would have wanted to sacrifice themselves.
In particular, with Marie's words during the trial, it's clear that time is limited. Or is it? Marie is also capable of omitting the truth when it serves her needs, especially when it comes towards the Strangers and their still-missing memories. In any case, one can only hope they don't fall for her tricks again, even though getting away with murder would - apparently - save at least one life.
There is something else, as well. When everyone wakes up the morning, they will find that information on their wristwatches has been updated to reflect their new number - and something new about their powers. Not only that, but a new floor has opened up above Floor 1 for everyone to explore. Maybe more can be found on just what, exactly, is going on.
Is Marie telling the truth? Is the universe really ending? Or is it just another means of getting what she wants? Whatever is happening, people will need to be more careful around her - and one another. Who knows what Marie will offer next - or what your roommate or new friend is now capable of as a result. Especially since it's now known, thanks to Marie's actions during the trial, that everyone has definitely lost some memories. And unfortunately, no one seems to have regained any of them so far - or if anyone has, they haven't said a word.
If trust and resolve was ever needed, it feels like now is the time to try and find all that.
There are thirteen people in this place.]

The other one here appears to be the one behind all of the research. I'm not sure if that research was conducted on herself or not... there seem to be yet more parties involved.
For example, a woman in her 20s was brought up... as the target for a virus designed for specific individuals, which cannot be cured with medicine.
The person writing the document wishes to ensure that this virus succeeds.

That's... very bad. We probably can't let that stand, can we? I mean, if they make something like that, a lot of people could die.

[He's got no idea, to be honest.]

[Alchemists used all kinds of fucking metaphors in their notes so you can never be sure.]

I took one of the floppy disks from the computer room and looked through its contents. I believe it's relevant to what you're talking about.
[ he takes out a sheet of paper that contains notes on said document:
- something about tracing the electroencephalograph of a partly-cybernetic brain
- someone was tracking and looking at someone's brain waves
- the only name that came up in the document was IVY ]
I'm wondering if "Ivy" is the woman in her 20s.

[ a nod towards rosenkreuz. ] Good work.

Then while we are on the subject of puzzles, I'd like to put forth a little theory of mine. I believe you were the one who mentioned the nonsensical dates on the records here, yes?
I compared the date on the Electro2 document to today's... putting aside the fact that they're absurd, at the very least, they aren't the same. That's interesting to me when Marie has been talking about the coma patient as though she has yet to perish. If this is an entirely different day than when the documents were recorded, then that should be impossible.
I wonder, therefore, if we are in some kind of time loop. Or at the very least, a time that flows somewhat against the clock of this virus. Time manipulation spells are possible where I am from - our enemies, the house of Lancaster, were able to use it in a variety of ways. It could explain why the electronics don't seem to be able to keep up.

[ he listens to rosenkreuz's theory. a time loop... it's something that hitsugaya has never been a part of (to his knowledge, anyway.), but the existence of such a power doesn't alarm him or anything.
he hums in thought, then: ] A time loop... That's a solid theory. I'm unfamiliar with the concept, but we haven't come up with anything else that'd explain the different dates. Someone suggested that they were dates significant to each of us--however, there were only nine calendars as opposed to fifteen.
Do you have any idea why we'd be stuck in a time loop, if that were the case?
