[As Marie said: so much for trust and resolve. Two people are dead, and there is very little anyone can do about it now, no matter how much they would have wanted to sacrifice themselves.

In particular, with Marie's words during the trial, it's clear that time is limited. Or is it? Marie is also capable of omitting the truth when it serves her needs, especially when it comes towards the Strangers and their still-missing memories. In any case, one can only hope they don't fall for her tricks again, even though getting away with murder would - apparently - save at least one life.

There is something else, as well. When everyone wakes up the morning, they will find that information on their wristwatches has been updated to reflect their new number - and something new about their powers. Not only that, but a new floor has opened up above Floor 1 for everyone to explore. Maybe more can be found on just what, exactly, is going on.

Is Marie telling the truth? Is the universe really ending? Or is it just another means of getting what she wants? Whatever is happening, people will need to be more careful around her - and one another. Who knows what Marie will offer next - or what your roommate or new friend is now capable of as a result. Especially since it's now known, thanks to Marie's actions during the trial, that everyone has definitely lost some memories. And unfortunately, no one seems to have regained any of them so far - or if anyone has, they haven't said a word.

If trust and resolve was ever needed, it feels like now is the time to try and find all that.

There must be some purpose.... She may not be human. [Those eyes. But she's.... What about like, a family resemblance? Obviously the woman in the photo isn't Marie, but does she look similar at all?] I have some ideas for my next step now, at least.

[It’s not even remotely close to Marie when it comes to appearance. If it is a relative, it’s not a blood relative.]

[Guess we're taking this to the library then. See if we can find any historical references for her clothing or anything.]

There's not exactly much on weddings, per se, but the style of clothing seems to indicate that we're talking late 1980s-early 1990s due to the headband and puffy sleeves.]

[A robot bride, from about the same time as everything else here....hm. Frustrating.]

[Yeah, definitely.

[He's not sure he's going to get much more from the picture right now - and there's no sense continuing if he's hit a wall. So it's back to the laser room to see if we can learn about the walls via intentionally failing. Several times.]

[WELL OK THEN.

Basically, every time he's knocked unconscious, the floor drags him out of the room by half-absorbing him into it. It's a weird, cold feeling.]

[If he tries real hard to stay conscious (or if he loads up on coffee), does it work? Any residue? Can he work out how long it takes?

I'm sorry he's like this, if there's anything at all he can get out of this, he will.]

[It only works for a few seconds, when he tries to stay conscious. This particular function seems designed to stun and render the person unconscious, though the mechanism seems unknown.

As for how long it takes, his wristwatch does have a clock function on it, which might help with timing it.

It leaves no residue.]
