WEEK 1

[Awaken.

Fifteen strangers have been gathered to the Depths.

When the strangers awaken, they will feel nauseous in their stomachs. No doubt confused. Maybe a little sick, Perhaps, even terrified. And certainly, there is a good reason for it - they are not where they were before. If they had powers back where they came from, they seem to be all gone. And it appears that someone has left...guidelines for them. All of them addressed to a specific Title.

Their Title. Somehow, each person knows, upon seeing this, this is their Title, even if it seems to make no sense whatsoever. And its clear that whoever wrote these things knew it as well. Who was it?

Its uncertain. So far, there seems to be no one else save for them, and those who dare to venture out of their rooms - save, for some reason, the individuals in rooms 1, 8 and 7 - in this hot and stuffy place. No...'intercessor' to be seen yet, certainly. No outward signs that there's anyone else aside from the people with 'Titles'.


So, Titled: welcome.

I do not know what it is, but that is a spirit, and a strong one, unless I miss my guess. It reminds me a little of the Dalemen's fire-whisky - although it looks like a wine.

[McBurn isn't going to comment on that bit about the fair since he has no idea what that means. He's been testing out the balance on a greatsword himself when he sees the obviously inexperienced person trying to put an axe into a pocket.]

Unless you happen to also like pain or bleeding, you might want to find a better spot for that.

[McBurn's tone may sound bored, but the way he's handling the sword he's holding says he has some clue what he's doing here.]

[So there was actually someone in here. Well, wasn't that the point of investigating? Eventually she's going to have to meet them all. Fortunately it doesn't look like there are that many people here.]

Sooo... are you one of the people stuck here too?

[Because that seems to have been the case for everyone so far. Not that she's entirely given up on meeting someone else yet either.]

Dining Hall/Kitchen

Maglor's thoughts are dark and thoroughly uncomplientary towards their captors, although his face betrays none of that, watching Killua play with the cup. Eventually, he gets up and moves over to the kitchen, poking at the equipment thoughtfully before he begins to make something. Killua will probably note he skins and guts the animals with the ease of someone who has done this thousands of times before, despite the old scars on his hands.

Eventually, he will bring a bowl of rabbit stew over and set it near Killua, before retreating a little with his own bowl. ]

Best you keep your strength up.

Huh... phones are pretty common where I come from. Almost everyone has them. But from the sounds of it, what you guys have is more... magical... than technical.

[Which would explain the price.]

[He's seeming to be liking the particular greatsword he's holding. It's not quite the same as his own, but probably the closest match he's going to get from something lacking in powers.]

A bit. [He says this in a bored sounding tone, but his form says it's a lot more than a bit.] I've had a lot of various sorts of training over the years.

[Futaba racks her brain, because this could be something important. But the only thing she can think of is a 'what' not a 'who'.]

Uhhh... other than in computer terms? Nope. Never heard of them. What's that supposed to stand for anyway?

[Hallucination? Probably a hallucination but she guesses she might as well roll with it.]

You know, normally by the time people get to looking like you they're a lot less talkative.

[ The door to room 5 is not locked, and she'll hear soft despairing weeping from inside. Is she going to open it anyway?

If she does, there's a tall man, or something that looks like one, anyway, crouched on the bed with his head in his hands, but he'll lift his eyes with almost a snarl on his face only to falter when he sees her ]

[THERE IS A PAUSE AS SHE STARES AT HIM.]

.... so what, it's a loony bin? Because I have seen my fair share of those, and this does not look like any of them. How is anyone supposed to heal in surroundings like these?

[She sounds aggrieved there. Sure she's not interested in being cured and sure but she still has her professional pride. If she's locked up in asylum then sure, fine, but she'd like it to at least be a competent one.]

[ Maglor crooks an eyebrow at him ]

[...huh? What was this kid doing here? Sure she wasn't more than two or three years older probably, but-- that's a lot when you consider the stuff that's going on here.

...on top of that, he's injured??? He looks like he's taking this way too casually. Just what kind of stuff has this kid seen in his life...?]

What is a 'loony bin'? [ He crooks a curious eyebrow at her ]

And based on our surroundings, I doubt that 'healing' is in any part of why we are here.

Maybe if it's about gardening. [Or Emma forces her to study...]

Sometimes you manage with what you have. It's not really fun when you get nagged at after, though.

[Why can't nerds people just let her conk out in peace?]

[A PAUSE AND IF HE DOESN'T SEEM TO COTTON ON SHE CONTINUES.]

Woaaaah. That's some pretty advanced stuff. There's no way Japan could pull of something like that at this stage. And we're pretty advanced ourselves.

[So whoever or whatever was responsible had to be pretty freakin' powerful. She sounds pretty interested honestly. But that brings up something a little less cool...]

...and yet our captors shut you down just like that. I guess the people who brought us here are even scarier.

[She'll set that bottle aside for later. Sara would probably cry in joy at all the free alcohol, but Fie's just thankful they have something flammable here.]

You like drinking a lot?

[Well, this girl seems easily spooked.]

Looks like it. Woke up here with all my stuff gone, even the hidden things.

[She's kind of salty about that to be honest.]

But I have had occasion to, at times, although not recently. And it would be unseemly to have poor knowledge of one's own cellars, also.

[ Killua just looks over at Eric as if nothing was wrong, not even cringing or seeming bothered by the dead animals or why the other would seem bothered by it.

Then again this was a kid who's seen and done much, MUCH worse in his short life so far, so this was nothing. ]

It's just dead animals. It's essentially our food here and we'll have to cook them if we want to survive.
