[The train wouldn't stop. Not until very early the next morning. The few who might have been awake would be able to exit the train, entering the cool twilight of the dawn. The star is dark, and few stars can be seen in the sky as a cold breeze begins to blow from the mountain beyond. You can see some chunks of rock floating idly nearby, far away from the station that it won't hit trains, but near enough that one can see they are larger than the train they just disembarked.

Lastly, laid out in front of them, the first port of call: Menahoven. The mountain: The Throat of the World.

But which world? Who knows. Not any of yours. Maybe it doesn't matter. Not when you are so far from home. Not when you have no way to get off this rock without the aid of the trains-and they will not let you pass.

It looks like you're stuck here until the Conductor decides to leave. In the meantime, everyone will need to get comfortable.

[Oh boy, alchemy time! It's different from the type of alchemy she actually knows but it doesn't look that difficult. She's going to try mixing the blue mountain flower and wheat for a health potion first.]

[POOF! It works!]

[Yes! Now she's going to try mixing mandrake root and shepherd's pie for the Cure Disease potion.]

[strangerpeople]

[POOF! It works as well!]

[She's on a roll! Now just for fun, she'll try mixing aloe vera and vampire dust. Invisibility should be fun for messing with people!]

[Yup! Still got it!]

[Just call her the Winged Alchemist! Now what if she tries to make the healing potion again, using the same combination she did the first time?]

[It still works!]

[Nice. Are there enough ingredients to make one healing potion for everyone on the train? She'll also make a spare invisibility potion to test.]

[strangerpeople]

[There is.]

[telecosmetic]

[Good. She'll get on that, then. And once she's done she'll take a sip of invisibility potion to see how well it works.]

[strangerpeople]

[It actually works well...but it only lasts for about a minute.]

[telecosmetic]

[Aw...and that uses up the entire bottle of potion?]

[strangerpeople]

[Yup.]

[telecosmetic]

[That's disappointing. Eliza might as well work on making some more Cure Disease potions as well. She'll try using different combinations of ingredients this time-do the resulting potions look different? Actually, how different do the different-effect potions look from each other in the first place?]

[strangerpeople]

[They don't. The healing and Cure Disease potions always come out red, while the invisibility potion comes out grey.]

[Hm. She'll try making a poison and damage potion then, just to see what colors she gets. And being very careful with the ingredients.]

[These come out green.]
