[The train wouldn't stop. Not until very early the next morning. The few who might have been awake would be able to exit the train, entering the cool twilight of the dawn. The star is dark, and few stars can be seen in the sky as a cold breeze begins to blow from the mountain beyond. You can see some chunks of rock floating idly nearby, far away from the station that it won't hit trains, but near enough that one can see they are larger than the train they just disembarked.

Lastly, laid out in front of them, the first port of call: Menahoven. The mountain: The Throat of the World.

But which world? Who knows. Not any of yours. Maybe it doesn't matter. Not when you are so far from home. Not when you have no way to get off this rock without the aid of the trains-and they will not let you pass.

It looks like you're stuck here until the Conductor decides to leave. In the meantime, everyone will need to get comfortable.

[The turntables are surprisingly not that different. All the line names are, of course, named after people like Wellesley, Nelson, Pitt.

Nearly every line ends in one place: London.]

Can he find either of those for the HML Eventide?]

Kind of a long shot, but what about the HML Vespertine? Is that listed anywhere at all?]

[Nope.]

[Hm. Alright. Any maps or the like? And hey, good thing he has the station master handy, he has questions.]

What makes the HML Eventide so special? Is it always unlisted? If you don't mind me asking.

[strangerpeople]

[No map. The timetable just seems to assume you know what you're doing.

The conductor's eye narrow as they begin to not so subtly move into Minato's space, thus likely forcing him to back away, thus...basically moving him away from the timetables.]

We don't list the trains used for the likes of you.

[He's cooperative. Has no reason not to be. But remains open and honest, he isn't hiding anything.]

So is it always used for "the likes of" us? Doesn't sound like we're the first.

[Making a shooing motion.]

[Hm. Don't like that. But he doesn't know why all of this is happening. But he does notice the station master dodging the first question.

It seems like there's something wrong, though. Something big, involving them. He doesn't leave just yet.]

Just one more thing. Does something bad happen, if any of us get on the wrong train? Is there something wrong with us?

Now get away from here before I have to take you back to your train!!

Alright, 'm going... [Still avoiding the actual question, though. That's bad. Real bad feelings.

But Minato won't push it further. He leaves obediently. Well....now what.

Maybe the library has books on trains? Or a news archive?]
