WEEK 1
[The train wouldn't stop. Not until very early the next morning. The few who might have been awake would be able to exit the train, entering the cool twilight of the dawn. The star is dark, and few stars can be seen in the sky as a cold breeze begins to blow from the mountain beyond. You can see some chunks of rock floating idly nearby, far away from the station that it won't hit trains, but near enough that one can see they are larger than the train they just disembarked.
Lastly, laid out in front of them, the first port of call: Menahoven. The mountain: The Throat of the World.
But which world? Who knows. Not any of yours. Maybe it doesn't matter. Not when you are so far from home. Not when you have no way to get off this rock without the aid of the trains-and they will not let you pass.
It looks like you're stuck here until the Conductor decides to leave. In the meantime, everyone will need to get comfortable.

[ His expression shifts, turning somewhat resolute but still manages to be soft in it's own way as he looked ahead. ]
I... I've been through an awful childhood at an orphanage, joining a job with very dysfunctional but amazing people who became my friends, being captured by the mafia because of a bounty put on my head... [ Why yes he's counting all these off on his hands as he goes, too. ] nearly killed several times by people with insanely strong abilities, a couple of them who came close to actually destroying the city I call home, as well. An all out war between the Armed Detective Agency who I work for and the local mafia, and there's several times where if it wasn't for my ability, i'd have been dead by now.
[ He exhales a small breath once he's kind of described all that which should paint quite the picture. ]
So... while i'm not unused to being captured? This... it's a lot tamer than what i'm used to dealing with.

And WOW that list gets his eyes to widen. That's a lot to go through at his age. King can't help but glance up at his hair.]
No wonder you've got gray hair. I'd have it too if I went through all of that...and if I was human.
no subject
Huh? Actually... i've always had this hair color my whole life.
[ He reaches a hand up to tug lightly at the longer strand of his bangs somewhat idly. ]
Though I can see why you said that... as it is a bit much to go through. Especially since most of it is somewhat recent.
no subject
Okay, how recently are you talking about here? Because if it's not at least a weeks worth of breathing room between that and now, I'm going to start worrying about you're home life.
[That makes him horribly worried already, just so you know.]
no subject
There definitely wasn't any breathing room between the last thing I told you happened and arriving here. You could say it just kind of started.
[ Meaning the essential start of this little 'all out war' between his work and the mafia. ]
My job is a little dangerous at times, but i've kinda gotten used to it, actually.

Kid, when you get back there, you need to ask for a break. Some time off or something. Because with all of that, and now this train kidnapping? You kinda deserve something.
