WEEK 2

[It is again early morning when the train docks next. This time, however, the dock is not as busy. There are few trains to be seen, and even fewer people. Only a man stands at the dock, teeth sharp in his smile, scelera a deep gold as he stares beneath his fedora.

"Unexpected," he said with a smile. A two-dimensional dog with the head of a scribbled black cloud hops by, ignoring him. "But not unwanted. Do make yourselves comfortable."

This new place is known as Victoria's Chasm, named after an Empress. No, not that one. Her Thrice-Renewed Majesty is quite comfortable on her Throne, and rulled for much longer than 99 days, thank you very much.

In the distance, black begins to erupt like tendrils. Lightning flashes through the clouds. This is the land of monsters; tread carefully. And do not despair, whatever you do.


There are fifteen strangers left in this place.]

Mithos? [Eliza comes hurrying towards him.] Are you alright? You didn't run into another Witch out there, did you?

Huh?

[ Mithos looks when he notices Eliza. Ahh... right. ]

A-Ah. No Witches, no. I'm alright.

[ Clearly he's not but he's trying very hard not to look like anything is wrong ]

[Yeah, she's definitely perceptive enough to notice that.] Oh, that's good...did...did you find something else?

[ He gives her a small nod ]

Yeah. There was a Chasm that was nearby so I ... went to see if there was anything of importance there. I was ... guided to some kind of symbol, but that's all.

[telecosmetic]

[Oh right, the chasm. Eliza did notice it last time they were there, though the whole Witch thing distracted her quite a bit.] So there's someone other than Witches out there...? ["Guided" implies some kind of living creature, after all.]

A symbol? Have you seen it around before?

[eternaldivide]

[ a pause, before Mithos shakes his head. ]

No... no one was there. Just ... some kind of vortex. When I got close there was a flash of lightning and that's when I saw the symbol.

It... looked kind of like the symbols others have seen. My eyes butned, as well.

[Eliza lets out a sympathetic hiss, leaning in to look closer at his eyes.] Are they still hurting? Do you need a healing potion for them?

I'm fine, thank you. There's no reason to use up a healing potion for something that'll pass.

[ And really they probably sting because of the tears that forced their way through on his way back ]

[She still looks a little worried, but since his eyes don't seem that badly damaged for now she'll let it slide.] Alright...but if it suddenly gets worse you'll use a potion, right?

Yes, of course. I still have the healing potion you have given me, just in case.

[ He might be reckless but he's at least one to try and take care of injuries when they happen. ]

[Thank god she doesn't have to worry too much about you.]

That's good...there's more in the dining room, as well. [She and Ris have managed to set up a spot for them-labeled too.]

[ Nah she just has to worry about him for different reasons ]

Alright. I'll keep that in mind as well, then. There are others who might need them more though [ Minato ] so I'll only grab another if I use the one I already have.

[Minato needing them the most is so valid, honestly.] Of course. They seem to work pretty well, so one bottle per person at a time seems fine.

Mhm. Although ... I don't suppose you still have a few stashed, right? Just in case something happens to the ones you and Ris put out?

Yeah, I'm keeping a few in my room...or, well, me and Zack's room, I guess. [She hasn't stepped foot into her room except to grab extra sleeping supplies.]
