[Friday morning dawns. It's a surprisingly brisk day; the winds are cold outside, and the sky is dark with its lack of sky. Well, a normal sky that one would be used to, at least.

The rats can be heard scurrying to and forth, in the walls. All seems to be as normal as it can be, this morning.]

[It's only a matter of time before, eventually, the cuffs on everyone's wrists suddenly beep to life. As this happens, the Conductor's voice comes onto the intercom system.]

Well. It appears one of you has decided to try and take Her Thrice-Renewed Majesty on her generous offer. I of course do not blame you. It is a very good offer.

Your cuffs have been programmed so any evidence you happen to find will automatically be recorded to everyone, not just yourself. I shall give you the basics, of course, but the rest is up to you to find on your own. Do not worry-the crew knows not to touch or taint anything with regards to the crime scene. We are fair, after all.

You have one hour to investigate. After that, we shall meet at the locked gate behind the house. I suggest you begin.


[With that, a clock appears on everyone's wrist to remind them of the time, along with a basic, almost laconic chart concerning details of Proto's death. There is also a ticking sound in their mind that they will be unable to ignore or tune out until the end of the hour.

[ Towa submits a photograph of the wounds on Proto Man's body; a gaping hole and several dents, all centered around his back. The wound appears to have been made by something small and serrated. In that photo there is also evidence of burns to his clothing.

There is also a pocket watch, taken from Proto Man's hand. It is no longer functioning. It stopped at 11:08.

She has also left notes. Proto Man's internal clock stopped at 12:02. ]

There was a tablecloth askew on one of the tables near the stairs and was covering another one underneath it. In the kitchen, there's a knife missing from the butcher's block. Seems like a larger one from what I can tell.

There's a bunch of different scratches and scuffmarks on the stairs. It doesn't look like they were all in a line with something being dragged down, and some of the splinters go in different directions too.

A fancy cloth, a yarn-like cloth (from a mop), and a napkin were found in the furnace.
