[Friday morning dawns. It's a surprisingly brisk day; the winds are cold outside, and the sky is dark with its lack of sky. Well, a normal sky that one would be used to, at least.

The rats can be heard scurrying to and forth, in the walls. All seems to be as normal as it can be, this morning.]

I assume you'll want to see the furnace then, hmm?

[... She knows things. Of course she does.]

Ja. The furnace is a good place to start.

[With a nod, she shows Caleb to where the furnace is.

Its the question mark between the office and the Engine Room. There a small, almost imperceptible button on the wall panel, which slides up to reveal the furnace in all its glory.]

Do be careful. It's very hot even if you lower the temperature.

[Of course she knows his ability, too.]

[He moves closer and checks around it. Anything dropped before he opens the thing up?]

[There is nothing dropped outside of the furnace.]

[Great. This is going to be... great, for him. He steels himself and opens the furnace.]

[As he probably already suspected, there are several items that have been turned inside the furnace, and thus they are freshly burned.]

[Is there a poker or a shovel he can use to grab them and pull them out?]

[There is!]

[Let's get that... whatever it is...]

Caleb might be able to identify a coarse, yarn-like cloth, bits of a napkin, and bits of a fancier cloth from what remains. Of these, the yarn-like cloth is the least burnt, but...still pretty burnt.]

[He's going to point his cuff thing to record it... hopefully? He cannot figure out how to work this thing.]

[And now he'll just make sure there's nothing else in the furnace before closing it and examining the cloths.]

[Nothing else! Caleb is clear.

What is he looking for?]

[ he’s trying to check if he’s seen it before.]

[The rougher cloth looks like the type one might find on a mop. It's not exactly the type someone would wear.

The little bit of nicer cloth left looks more high-quality, definitely what would be used for the clothing everyone is wearing.]

[Hmm. He’ll keep an eye out to see if it matches anyone else’s clothes.]
