THE SECOND TRIAL
(~SK. 10-11)
[Once the investigation wraps up, Zero's voice emanates once more throughout the Gigantic. The doors to the theater on both the C Deck and D Deck open as he speaks. And yes, when people come in through the C Deck Doors, they will find they can access the lower level from the stairs.
Yay?]
It is time. Come to the theater.
I wouldn't worry about bringing blankets.
[And indeed, when the Strangers come into the theater, they will find that the room is considerably warmer compared to the rest of the ship. There are also changes to the podiums-John, Anya and Kaito's places are all draped in black.
The screens schlllorrrp back in, with Zero's face appearing after a moment of static.]
Of course I am here for any questions. But I believe you know how this goes, so I suggest you begin. Justice delayed is...justice denied.

[ He really hates this. ]

But if someone thought he was the fabricator, then your theory that the culprit is cynical enough to think his friendly attitude was faked might hold water.

[ In his head he's trying to figure out a hypothetical situation here and who would have it out for Kaito, given the young man's nature. ]
Mm. The culprit possibly believing it was an act or that he was somehow hiding information seems truly the most likely here.

I think it's safe to say the killer knew what they were doing.

Though at that point, the quick loss of blood would've been a mercy.

[Moriarty looks a little thoughtful at that.]
Perhaps, but what if it were shortly afterwards? While bleeding out does cause that, if the fabricator were to come across the body before the blood had entirely drained out, would bruising not occur?

[...]
We also cannot rule out that Kaito's body may have slightly different rules than what we are used to, given the different color of his blood.

Unless you're right, and his blood pressure is a lot lower than humans' in my world.

[Oh. He's had a thought.]
Or the culprit was aware of and working with the Fabricator.

[He laces his fingers together on the podium.]
Having the fabricator on your side would certainly give you a better chance at 'winning', at the very least. Though this is nothing more than conjecture.
