WEEK 2

[The unfortunate death, and subsequent execution, has no doubt weighed on everyone's minds since. The dam has burst, and now, the idea that someone may kill another in this place is not just a possibility anymore. It is reality, and a very terrifying reality at that.

Yet, there is a strange side effect to the murder's aftermath. When the Titled go to sleep on Saturday evening, they will dream, even if they don't normally do so. When they wake up, their dream stays with them, and a thought comes to everyone. A realization.

Their dream had been a memory they lost. Now, they have it back, as if they had never lost it.

Nor is that the only change. They also feel just a little more confident in their power. Confident enough that they find that their ability has evolved to become stronger. Whether that's a good or a bad thing, well...

Soon enough, too, the Titled's phones start pinging, and when they open up their LIME app, they receive a simple message:]

Your Mall Map has been updated!

[And indeed, those who go to check the Food Court will find an elevator on the eastern end which leads to a brand new wing that had previously been obscured by the barrier.

Dio and Wake's information is also slightly different from before on the LIME app, but...maybe it's best not to think about it. Last week had been...disheartening.

Hopefully, this week will be better, right? Surely, this week, temptation won't win out again....right?

Well.

There's only one way to find out.

Welcome to Week 2, Titled.

There are thirteen strangers in this place.

This week's crab is Dungeness.]

[ I MEAN IT'S PRETTY INTERESTING? Especially since that hasn't happened yet given that she's from 2016. So sure. ]

[ That's interesting. She'll bend down, pick it up and examine it. ]

And what are you?

Did Croix find porn

Okay but seriously, what is it? ]

Yes I'm up for threadjacking on this one especially.

[ ...By the Nine Olde Witches, this is the most self-centered letter she has ever seen. Um. She's going to take it to share later unless someone else shows up? ...What the fuck? ]
foolishjustice: (Strange isn't it?)

[personal profile] foolishjustice 2017-12-05 05:16 am (UTC)(link)
[Like some other nerd? Akechi notices Croix glaring at a seemingly random piece of paper and sets down the book he'd been flipping through.]

Is something wrong, Meridies-san?

[personal profile] scienceofmagic 2017-12-05 05:22 am (UTC)(link)
[ She'll pass the paper over to him. ]

...I found this in what I was reading. It's a bit concerning.
foolishjustice: (It's no use we have to fight.)

[He reads over it, a concerned frown growing the farther into it he gets.]

This reads as if it was written by someone who has survived at least two trials before attempting to invoke rule 7 themselves. It also almost seems as if it was left with the intent to be discovered by the ghosts of the executed...unless the writer has a strange way of expressing doubt that they really would be put to death.

That's what concerns me. This doesn't seem like any of us wrote it. In fact, it seems like it'd be before we were here. Which concerns me many times over.

[ What's... Going on in this place... ]
foolishjustice: (We can't win this.)

[personal profile] foolishjustice 2017-12-06 06:53 pm (UTC)(link)
I...had worried that should we escape without dealing with our captors directly, they would simply find a new group compatible with these powers. This makes it appear as if they've already done just that at least once.

[personal profile] scienceofmagic 2017-12-07 05:42 am (UTC)(link)
...We need to share this.

[ Others need to know that there were more people before them. ]
foolishjustice: (It's no use we have to fight.)

[personal profile] foolishjustice 2017-12-07 06:28 am (UTC)(link)
Agreed. We should find out if anyone else has found anything similar that they hadn't thought to mention, as well.
scienceofmagic: (pic#11896152)

[personal profile] scienceofmagic 2017-12-07 01:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah. This is, quite frankly, rather important. If there were other people here before... Who knows what number group we are. We could be the second, or the thirtieth.
foolishjustice: (It's no use we have to fight.)

[personal profile] foolishjustice 2017-12-07 08:21 pm (UTC)(link)
[Is he going a little pale at that idea? Maybe just a little.]

I would also like some other perspectives on what the letter itself means. It sounds as if the writer believes that execution isn't the end for those trapped here...
