WEEK 2

[The unfortunate death, and subsequent execution, has no doubt weighed on everyone's minds since. The dam has burst, and now, the idea that someone may kill another in this place is not just a possibility anymore. It is reality, and a very terrifying reality at that.

Yet, there is a strange side effect to the murder's aftermath. When the Titled go to sleep on Saturday evening, they will dream, even if they don't normally do so. When they wake up, their dream stays with them, and a thought comes to everyone. A realization.

Their dream had been a memory they lost. Now, they have it back, as if they had never lost it.

Nor is that the only change. They also feel just a little more confident in their power. Confident enough that they find that their ability has evolved to become stronger. Whether that's a good or a bad thing, well...

Soon enough, too, the Titled's phones start pinging, and when they open up their LIME app, they receive a simple message:]

Your Mall Map has been updated!

[And indeed, those who go to check the Food Court will find an elevator on the eastern end which leads to a brand new wing that had previously been obscured by the barrier.

Dio and Wake's information is also slightly different from before on the LIME app, but...maybe it's best not to think about it. Last week had been...disheartening.

Hopefully, this week will be better, right? Surely, this week, temptation won't win out again....right?

Well.

There's only one way to find out.

Then how do you intend to stop him?

He's spent the past year teaching me and my class how to assassinate him. Guy's got a lot of weaknesses, just gotta know how to use them.

[ A brief flash of something conflicted crosses Karma's features before he shakes his head. ]

It's not as impossible as it seems. We've made a lot of progress. Not just in our attempts to kill him, but academically, too.

Why would he be teaching you his own weaknesses?

He didn't specifically teach us his weaknesses. We picked up on them during this past year, and besides.

[ Karma sighed and smiled slightly to himself. ]

Just because we know of them doesn't always make it easy, either.

So he's simply confident that even through extended observation, you won't be able to pose a threat to him.

Pretty much. We've come close a couple of times but haven't succeeded yet.

[ Going to look away for a moment. It's almost making him feel a bit homesick, being here. The longest he's really been away from Koro-sensei and his class in the past year. ]

Other assassins have tried their hand at killing him but haven't gotten anywhere, either. [ A nod of his head. ] He's also pretty expressive, if you can believe it.

I wouldn't think an octopus would have much in the way of expression, no.

Most octopus don't educate kids and encourage them to assassinate him.

[ Still amused when he thinks about his first time trying to really get under Koro-sensei's skin. How fun. ]

His face changes colors and has different expressions that mean different moods of his. Gets pretty easy to read after a while.

[Blink blink. Then he lifts his hand to cover an amused expression.]

I hadn't thought of an octopus' camouflage ability in those terms. It sounds as though it must look a little comical.

It really does.

[ Glad to see you're getting something of a kick out of this too, Akechi. ]

From green stripes on his face when he's cocky and assured, to white when indifferent. Not hard to know how he feels, plus he's kinda something of a pervert, too. Never would have initially guessed that about him.

[Well, there's things to be said about tentacle monsters...but he won't go there. Instead, the image of a world destroying Cthuloid with green stripes on his face pulls a laugh out of him.]

I have to wonder now if anyone's made a habit of trying to coax different color patterns out of him.

Some of my classmates did in the beginning, trying to figure him out with the different color patterns and all.

[ Hey he's glad that talking about his non-human teacher is getting a laugh out of someone honestly. ]

He's... certainly interesting. I wouldn't be the same without his influence on me, really.
