WEEK 2

WEEK 2

[A week has passed. There's been no body, no investigation, no trial. No deaths. Congratulations!

Now the question is, will it last? At the moment, the Commander seems content with forcing people to do petty and mean-spirited errands in return for a mere shower. On the one hand, it's just for showers. On the other hand, what if the demands start to get more extreme? Would caving in encourage her? Is anyone willing to try and find out?

Honesty, with all the strange dates and information floating around from what's been uncovered, the only one in this place who's probably not worried as the time slips into its next movement is Sir Riprazor McRockfang. That's right, he's a sir. A grumpy sir, yes, but still a sir. No one's going to mess with him, regardless of what his true origins may be. And if they do, beware - he bites. Omnom. Good luck, everyone.

There are fifteen strangers - and one alligator - in this place.]

[Vita is in the mess hall eating some of the spaghetti as neatly as she possibly can so it doesn't get on her or what she has with her. She's got a couple of books with her. The hair band is in her hair and the fan is actually hidden away in her outfit made from a bedsheet, but one may notice there is some blue glitter on her hands and outfit.

And no, it's totally not a figment of your imagination that one of those books is glowing a pale blue color. She's looking at it to make sure otherwise it's not harmed or changed in any way.]

[It's the glowing book that catches Nagisa's eye, but the larger one that takes his attention. That....looks like...]

Excuse me, may I... May I look at that book...?
illusionarymelody: (004)

[personal profile] illusionarymelody 2018-07-25 12:12 am (UTC)(link)
Feel free. It's definitely not a place I'm familiar with.

[She'll carefully slide it over so Nagisa can get a better look.]
theserpentsmiles: (Set this pain up in flames)

[personal profile] theserpentsmiles 2018-07-25 03:25 pm (UTC)(link)
[He quickly dives into it; he's not actually reading so much as turning pages and closely examining them....it is.]

....I know this book.... Sensei wrote it.... [Does he sound a little choked? It's slight, but he does.]
illusionarymelody: (004)

[personal profile] illusionarymelody 2018-07-25 10:51 pm (UTC)(link)
You can have it then. If it belonged to someone important to you, you should hold it close to you.
theserpentsmiles: (It's time to burn it down)

[personal profile] theserpentsmiles 2018-07-27 02:30 am (UTC)(link)
He actually wrote twenty-six of these, and gave one to everyone in class...they're way more thorough than you'd ever need, but they are useful. In multiple ways.

[There may or may not be a slight dent in the spine where someone got clocked on the head with this book.]
illusionarymelody: (013)

[personal profile] illusionarymelody 2018-07-27 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
Sounds like he was wise and wanted to be sure you'd be prepared.
theserpentsmiles: (Do you feel like you're done?)

[personal profile] theserpentsmiles 2018-07-27 05:45 am (UTC)(link)
It was just a school trip....and he was kind of more overly fussy than wise. [But....he did do everything he could to keep them safe, and....it worked. For almost everyone.]
illusionarymelody: (004)

[personal profile] illusionarymelody 2018-07-28 01:10 am (UTC)(link)
So he wanted to be sure you all returned safe. Nothing wrong with that when a trip can be dangerous.
theserpentsmiles: (Set this pain up in flames)

[personal profile] theserpentsmiles 2018-07-28 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
Kyoto usually isn't all that dangerous, though. ....Two of my classmates got kidnapped, but that was just bad luck....but the book did have contingencies for that.

[personal profile] theserpentsmiles 2018-07-28 04:48 am (UTC)(link)
Like...tips for figuring out where to look for them. How to handle the rescue. How to get them in trouble with their own school, if they're students....that kind of thing.
illusionarymelody: (004)

[personal profile] illusionarymelody 2018-07-29 05:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Any tips for how to prevent it to begin with?
theserpentsmiles: (Do you feel like you're done?)

[personal profile] theserpentsmiles 2018-07-29 05:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Probably? [The answer is most likely yes.] I never read it all the way through....sensei went overboard a lot.
illusionarymelody: (015)

[personal profile] illusionarymelody 2018-08-01 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I've found it never hurts to be too prepared. Unless maybe you are the type to fret over every possible thing that could go wrong even if the chances are slim.

[Vita smiles. Nagisa's sensei sounds like an interesting man.]
theserpentsmiles: (Do you feel like you're done?)

[personal profile] theserpentsmiles 2018-08-01 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that's...that's sensei. That and including a list of every sweet shop in the city, because he thinks we might want to buy him candy as a souvenir even though he was coming, too...
illusionarymelody: (001)

[personal profile] illusionarymelody 2018-08-01 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
Or maybe you may want some for yourself, if you like sweets.
theserpentsmiles: (Do you feel like you're done?)

[personal profile] theserpentsmiles 2018-08-01 02:44 am (UTC)(link)
None of us like sweets that much... Karma-kun does, but only if he's stealing from sensei... Ritsu-chan doesn't even eat.
illusionarymelody: (004)

[personal profile] illusionarymelody 2018-08-01 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
That's surprising. I'd have thought all boys your age liked sweets.
theserpentsmiles: (Do you feel like you're done?)

[personal profile] theserpentsmiles 2018-08-01 04:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't dislike them, but I don't need to know every sweets shop in a big city like Kyoto.
illusionarymelody: (008)

[personal profile] illusionarymelody 2018-08-03 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
True, that might be a bit too much. So how big is Kyoto? Is it so big that you need trams to get around like in Heimdallr?
theserpentsmiles: (Default)

[personal profile] theserpentsmiles 2018-08-10 02:03 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know how big Heimdallr is... [And here he looks into the big book for checking facts.] But Kyoto covers a ground area of about 828 square kilometers and has a population of one and a half million people.
illusionarymelody: (018)

[personal profile] illusionarymelody 2018-08-10 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know how large that is, but Heimdallr is the largest city in Erebonia and has eight hundred thousand people. So almost half of what Kyoto has then.
theserpentsmiles: (I won't be pushed around)

[personal profile] theserpentsmiles 2018-08-13 07:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Japan's not a big country, and most of it is uninhabitable, so comparatively it's not a huge ground area by a long shot...but it's got the third largest population in the country, and the most populated city in the country is the most populated city in the entire world.
illusionarymelody: (016)

[personal profile] illusionarymelody 2018-08-13 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I couldn't even say if Erebonia is the largest in the world. We don't even know much about eastern Zemuria, much less continents outside of it. Of the places we do know, Erebonia is the largest. But there are places that are difficult to inhabit and if you ride on a train or airship to another city there's nothing but wide open space between them.
