WEEK 4
[To say that the mood of the remaining Strangers is...low...is an understatement. The revelations about Eric, and the death of the innocent Zelda, no doubt weighs on everyone's minds, now. It's a terrible blow, and deep down, those who are left probably know it.
That won't be the only thing come morning, however. When everyone wakes up, they will find that their memories have changed once more, as have the rules. More than that, a new floor has opened up-and something is wrong.
Of course something is wrong. Everything is wrong. Everything and everyone is wrong. Wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong. What can you do? Is there anything that can be done? And-will vengeance be taken for Zelda? Eric is now a free kill, after all. Then again, what's to stop Eric from killing again? He's no longer bound to the rules of the murder, after all...
Is there any hope left? Or is it only a matter of time before everyone well and truly snaps?
There are ten strangers left in this place.]

There is a human bone affixed to the door of the brewery.]
no subject
Osomatsu examines it first, sliding his fingers across it to see if it's just decoration, or something more]

There's a note underneath it, too:]
To All Residents of Our Lady's Home;
I have recently uncovered the identity of the drunken, braggadocious culprit who dared to try and circumvent our procedures for accessing Our Lady's private quarters. Not only did they kick the doors, they left unsightly scuff marks on the wood as well. That individual, who shall not be named (but you all most assuredly know who it is), has been appropriately dealt with.
Please consider to this note, and the remnants of that individual's femur that I have securely fastened on the doorway to the Brewery, as a reminder. Anyone who wishes to access Our Lady's private quarters will need my express permission to do so. Then and only then, will you be allowed in. Furthermore, when entering Our Lady's chambers you will ONLY use the means of egress we have provided to gain passage to that location, using the musical passcode which we gave to you during your orientation to open the way.
The main entryway is magically sealed for a reason and I expect everyone regardless of rank to respect Our Lady's wishes to not try and haphazardly break it in her absence. If you cannot follow such a simple task, you will find yourself lacking more than just a femur in the process. And no - as I have demonstrated, I will not care about your state of sobriety at the time of your infraction.
Kindest regards,
M.

and just who is M.?
so that tunnel that Franciscus found leads to the Lady's chambers? good to know, but he probably won't go up there himself. certainly not alone.
with a sigh, Osomatsu checks the back of the paper, to see if there are any more details written on there. then he heads into the brewery proper. the kegs call to him, first, so he's going to start checking around those for anything weird. spiders? bones? more notes? who knows...]

Have at the stills if you'd like!]
no subject
so time to look at the still! he... eventually makes it over there after being distracted]
no subject
Have a goat peeking out from behind the still.]
bAaaA??
no subject
well, there are spiders and bats living in this mansion. and the giant moth. so why not goats?]
Y'look a little lost, kiddo.
[get it, because it's a goat]
[1/2]
[It begins to walk forward, sniff him to see if he's got food--]
[2/2]
[The goat goes down, even though it's clearly not a fainting goat, at the booming voice that suddenly echoed through the room from behind Osomatsu.]
There you are! I have been looking for you since the end of the Fourth Age! Or is it the beginning of the Fifth Age? Eh, no matter, I finally caught you, you rascal! OHOHO!
bAAAaa...
[D:]

Osomatsu jumps a foot in the air from fright. he quickly whirls around to see who... or what... is behind him, chest heaving]
???????????????????????????
no subject
Oh, don't you give me that look. Surely this isn't the first time you've seen a madness-induced vision! Not with the way your eyes gleam.
Hn, at least you're acknowledging my presence, unlike the blond lad talking to himself. It's about time I found someone else, too! Couldn't get a word in with him! You'd think he was going insane...which, of course, he is. HA!
no subject
he places his hand to his chest, trying to calm his breathing down. yes, he's seen visions while he's been here, of course. like that creepy girl. but this guy is the first one to talk to him normally. at least at this moment]
The blond... You... You mean Eric?
no subject
[With an easy slide of his arm, the cane goes into his hands.]
Ah, but I'm being rude, aren't I? Talking to you and you're looking at be like I'm going to release a cadre of rabid rats onto your face! No-that's what the girl was thinking of doing to someone in the library. What an adorable, nutty little scamp she is when she's not hitting herself in the face!
Anyways.
You may call me Sheogorath. Or Sheggy if that's too long-I'm feeling impish today!
no subject
I-I'm... Osomatsu. [why are you telling a vision your name? this is it, then, you're going insane, finally... loneliness and fear have eaten you alive] I, uh... You're not really here, are you?
no subject
I can do that. I'm a god....of MAAAAAAAADNEEEEESS!!
[This last part is said more theatrically than the rest of his words.]
Not of this world, of course. But I caught of whiff of what was happening here, and...well! I've been searching for poor Gleda non-stop for two years! I needed a break. And a few laughs!
no subject
Nothing really laughable happens in this place. [a short pause] But, we could use a new scapegoat.
[tilts his head towards Gleda]
no subject
Good, good! I like you. It's a shame I can't stay! But I'm already a long way from home, I already took a delicious persimmon tea with the sword man and the girl, and...well.
Gleda is missing nosing through the beautiful spaghetti fields of the Velothi, so I'll just leave you to the local mad creature once more.
baaAaA~
...Ah, but. I'll leave you a little something for you and a friend. As a token of my esteem for your joke!
Scapegoat! HA!
[And just like that, with the blink of an eye, both god and goat are gone.]
no subject
Osomatsu does blink, and when they are gone, he heaves a relieved sigh. that was pretty scary! maybe he should leave this floor, and warn the others that a god of madness might be lurking around.
he'll, uh... slowly start to exit the brewery]
no subject
Whenever he gets back to his bedroom, he will find a wheel of goat cheese and a bottle of wine. It may or may not have been there before, but even so, it's enough for him and one other, if he chose to share, to have some nice food to tie them over.
It's actually pretty delicious.
When Osomatsu eats this food, his Nightmare levels will ultimately go down by 1. ]
