[The train wouldn't stop. Not until very early the next morning. The few who might have been awake would be able to exit the train, entering the cool twilight of the dawn. The star is dark, and few stars can be seen in the sky as a cold breeze begins to blow from the mountain beyond. You can see some chunks of rock floating idly nearby, far away from the station that it won't hit trains, but near enough that one can see they are larger than the train they just disembarked.

Lastly, laid out in front of them, the first port of call: Menahoven. The mountain: The Throat of the World.

But which world? Who knows. Not any of yours. Maybe it doesn't matter. Not when you are so far from home. Not when you have no way to get off this rock without the aid of the trains-and they will not let you pass.

It looks like you're stuck here until the Conductor decides to leave. In the meantime, everyone will need to get comfortable.

[This is your last day in Menahoven. If you plan on doing some last minute checks, this is the day to do it.

You will not be here on Sunday.]

[ Tali's mostly been just people-watching these past several days, but let's check the library.

Anything in particular stopping her from going for those books marked PROSCRIBED? ]

[ AWRIGHT, she's gonna crack a whole truckload of those open.

Anything in particular she a girl who has a particular interest in history and art might find? ]

[ Mithos is ... also in the library. After giving himself a few days he decides that maybe looking into what the pamphlet says might be a good idea and what better place than the library.

He'll read some of the regular books to see what they say, and then take a took at some of the PROSCRIBED? books to see if there's anything that relates to said pamphlet? ]

[There are a few, but most of these, as Charlotte learned, are censored up the wazoo.]

[ hmmm... so they are. The Vampire was also mentioned at the meeting, but is there anymore about the vampire in the library or is what Charlotte found all there is.

If that's all there is to the library he'll go to the Apothecary and make an invisibility potion because there is one place no one mentioned during the meeting and maybe that place will yield clues and that would be the larder.

But just to err even more on the cautious side he'll wait until nighttime before heading there ... ]

[There's...not much there aside from food. Lots and lots of food supplies.

Maybe check elsewhere?]

[ hmmm... well Zack said something about the Pyramid and someone never leaving it during the meeting. We'll check the Pyramid next? Maybe something changes about it at night ... ]

[Nothing different on the outside, other than it's super cold.

[ Good thing this Half-Elf isn't planning on sleeping tonight!

So Pyramid is a no-go hmmm. Okay let's just get that bestiary out of the way. Mithos never wanted to go back there again but maybe there's ... something there besides the dragon. ]

[There are other animals. There's a family of walrus-things, a skeleton horse, a freaking unicorn, and a thing that is even larger than the dragon, and can barely move, being so big.

Aw.]

[ a unicorn isn't something that be expected despite there having been a dragon here. and that really big thing ... it must be hard not being able to move around here.

... would be be able to approach any of them. perhaps with bread pellets or do they all not want anymore like the dragon ]

[The walrus-things seem a bit wary, and the skeleton horse just looks like it probably doesn't want or need any food.

The unicorn and giant thing seem amenable to the bread, though.]

[ well it's a skeleton so mithos isn't surprised there at all ...

but hey he can ... actually approach the unicorn so let's go that and offer it some bread pellets ]

[Fuck it, let's see what's at the gift shop.]

[Well, there is a stone tablet on the wall.]

[Whelp. Guess he'll look at it. Does it have pictures or does he need to get someone to read to him?]

[...Yeah he's going to need someone to read it to him. It's got words, sorry.]

Gues he's walking back to the train and poking his head in to yell.]

HEY EVERYONE! I FOUND THIS STONE THING IN THE GIFT SHOP WITH WORDS ON IT! CAN SOMEONE COME READ IT FOR ME?!

[ and once again Mithos hears Zack. This time as he's making his way out of the train to do some investigating himself. ]

In the Gift Shop? I can read it for you.

[ Show him the way, Zack. And he'll read whatever the stone tablet says aloud. ]

[And he will lead the fantasy kid to the weird slab at the gift shop.]

[ Mithos reads what it says on the stone tablet word per word. After he's... quiet for a moment, before turning to Zack ]

[Zack just stares at the tablet as Mithos reads it off... Looking more confused as the kid keeps reading.]

... I have no fucking clue. But I'm pretty sure that ain't Egyptian.

[He barely knows anything about Egypt, but there are sandy pyramids and mummies left in there with a bunch of fancy shit. Dragons are not Egypt. They belong in some kinda fantasy world.]
